I like the "North Woods" tree!

Could you shore up the peg holes in your sunroom tree with wood putty? Might be worth a try before you throw it out.

My tree doesn't really have peg holes - they are plastic - kind of like what's pictured below & they are all brittle & cracking!

Lucy is so funny...little devil, they can always provide entertainment.

Lucy IS a little devil, filled with plenty of entertainment! LOL! She was introduced to the electric fence over the weekend. EEK! She did really well!! Knocking on wood!

Funny, last night I was going through some boxes in my closet and found a Christmas present for my daughter that I totally forgot about (I bought it around Halloween). Fortunately I have a "hideaway" space in my office bathroom that I also throw presents into throughout the year and I always remember to check it a few times in December. I guess I have gotten a small head start on Christmas 2018 shopping.

Good afternoon everyone! Last week we had single digit temps and today it is 60 and I have my heat off and the windows open to get some fresh air in the house. Such crazy weather! I did not enjoy my football Sunday as much as I wanted to because both teams I was cheering for lost! I think I am a jinx. Not a fan of the Patriots but I have to give Brady credit. He may be the best QB I will see in my lifetime. We are having homemade sloppy joes and roasted potatoes today. Hope everyone has a great day!

Congrats to Brady and the Pats. I just don't understand why the Jags did not put on additional pressure when they went to an almost all pass 2nd half. They should all have learned from the Giants. If you want to beat Brady, pressure and hit him often. Otherwise he will pick any team apart.

What killed the Jags was that series of bone head penalties they committed during the Pats final touchdown drive. They might as well have laid a red carpet to the Red Zone.

Looks like I'm taking my tree down tomorrow . I'm going to leave it lit from this afternoon for 24 hours straight to get my fill of it.

Our tree, and its previously boxed cousin decorations, all completed their journey to their off season home, yesterday...Only 43 weeks until the non - tree items reappear...

So glad to hear you are doing well & healthy!!! I'm doing good too! I'm kind of enjoying the cold winter & down time to be honest! My hubby is heading to Florida next month. I'm hanging with my Lucy girl in the cold!! (Hope we don't get 2' of snow while he's gone....)

I should open some windows too!! Try to get rid of some germs gestating inside! LOL!! It's crazy how warm it is. I don't necessary love it!

No, it is not pre-lit. I've never had a pre-lit. And the horror stories I have heard I tend to stay away from them. I don't mind stringing lights - all part of the merriment!

Forgot to mention that our friend brought a BEAUTIFUL bakery cake when he visited Saturday. He had asked them to write "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" on it if they could make it fit. They not only made it fit, they added decorations and put holly leaves and berries in frosting around the sides of the cake. It was amazing! And delicious, too.
