Morning MMC. Good Superbowl Sunday to you! Amazing that it's today already. I remember when my brother left a couple of days after Christmas a friend was over and we told him to come over Superbowl Sunday. It seemed far away in late December still. Yet it's here already. I'm saying the Pats will win but I hope it's a good game. Looking forward to my Superbowl Food. Enjoy the game if you watch it!

Good Morning, Fantastic Fast Followers of Fascinatingly Fun Football.

Not only do the Season and Christmas Day cycle around dependably each year, so does the Super Bowl. Don't know which team you favor, but hopefully it will be an enjoyable game, regardless.

But there is no issues as to where our sympathies lie when it comes to the count.
Here are today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 282
Days to Christmas Day: 324

And just as the excitement builds to the game, so it does also for our next Milestone marker, the 1/4 point to the Season.
The fact is, we are really closing in on it, now.
And as a further matter of fact, we are only EIGHT days away from it.
That's ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW!
(We sure got to this point fast, didn't we?)

Continued chilly weather yesterday. A brief (but wet) respite today, then more cold weather for tomorrow.
Our current reading is 39 degrees here in our part of MMC land, with a light rain falling.

Well OK, then. You Folks have a Super (Bowl) Sunday.
Enjoy yourselves, whether or not you watch the game!

Thinking of you Coach. 11 years ago it was the well wishes of people here that helped me cope with my dad's death. In my darkest of hours the wishes came to me - Cedar. Crown. Jayish. Made. Angels who helped me heal.
We're a good community here. One of the best on the web!

Good morning and happy Sunday!

My wife and I traveled to Detroit on Friday for the Postmodern Jukebox concert. Everything was PERFECT!

We drove up on Friday, leaving around 11:00am. We stopped just outside of Detroit at a comic book store. We arrived at the hotel just after 3:00. We stayed at the Westin Book Cadillac. It is an old hotel where many famous folks have stayed. We went to dinner at a nice local place called the Savannah Blue. The food and drinks were fabulous. We walked to the theatre, The Fillmore, for the concert. The Fillmore was amazing! The decor, the seating, everything.

Our seats were insanely close to the stage. We were in the center of the stage, in the 2nd row! I have never been so close to the stage at a concert. At one point one of the singers jumped down from the stage and was standing right in front of us. To top the experience off, my wife had also gotten us VIP passes. So, after the show we were taken below the theatre to meet the band. I was expecting to have the band sitting at a big table and we would be hurried past them as we said hi. However, that was not it at all.

They took pictures of everyone with the band and then said, "ok, it's meet and greet time." The band just walked around and talked with everyone. It was amazing! I was able to spend some time talking to the drummer, which was awesome. We talked about the show for a minute, but then he started asking me about type of drumset I played and we just talked about drum equipment for a while. It was an awesome experience.

If you are not familiar with Postmodern Jukebox, you should look them up on Youtube. They are amazing musicians and performers.

Well it is Super Bowl Sunday!

This year's SB, is not the game I wanted. I am not a big fan of either team. I am hoping the Eagles can pull of the win, but I am not optimistic.

We will keep our little tradition of having nachos for dinner while we, as a family, sit and watch the big game. This year my oldest is bringing his girlfriend over for the SB.
I am keeping my SB streak alive. I have watched every SB since the Bears vs Patriots back in 1986 (1985 season).

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Morning all and a very happy Super Bowl Sunday to those who will be watching it. This will be the first game I have not watched since the Packers beat the Chiefs in 1967.
Oh well, it was bound to happen sooner or later anyway and I just can't get myself excited about this year's contest. I never expect any team to just lay down and roll over and each team would love to make it there every year, but for me nothing stirs. For those New England and Philadelphia fans enjoy. Your teams won the right to be there!!!

Hello! Just checking in here to see if there was anyone here, besides myself, that doesn't watch football; lol.

We just got in. It's raining pretty hard now outside, a damp, cold, bone chilling rain. I'd so much, rather have it snowing right now instead of this rain.

We ventured on out earlier this evening and ran a few errands, got dinner, did some grocery shopping and such, pretty much waited for the crowds to die down at the grocery store before we did our shopping.

Tonight, I'm going to see if the Mrs is up to watching The Walton's Homecoming/ A Christmas Story! I just love that movie. A simpler time, a simpler way of life, a good way to live... There's a many of times I wish I was born a hundred years or more ago when the way of life was harder in some ways, but yet, so much simpler than it is today.

Hope you all have a safe a pleasant evening.

We’re watching a DVD of vintage 20th Century Fox outtakes and deleted sequences. We don’t watch football either!

That sounds great! I enjoy those sort of things also, were they funny? We ended up just lounging, talking about houses and snuggling with both kitties in bed. They jumped up in bed with us and both of them curled up right next to us and went to sleep. We didn't have the heart to wake them up so we just stayed in there for a couple hours and never got around to watching our movie.

Good morning all. It is my fondest wish and prayer that you all have a safe and enjoyable 2018 (and beyond). May you be granted good health, a level of prosperity to keep you and your comfortable and the peace that only God can provide.
Lastly that you hold onto that childlike spirit that keep the home fires of Christmas burning brightly as any star in the sky.
So for 2018, let me be the first...

Good morning MMC ~
Happy Monday!
It’s going to be sunny, windy and cold today, highs near 34 degrees. Not too much going on here. I need to make a Target run and then I’ll be working on my daily chores. Dinner will be meatball & tortellini soup with mozzarella bread. That’s about it for me. Hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!
xx

Morning MMC. What a game last night! Definitely exciting. Sad to see the NFL end for the next 7 months but when it returns the best time of year (The Bers) will be starting again! Unreal to think that and I love following the off-season. Too much good food last night. Taking Rollins to the vet for a check up today on my day off and then going to IHOP. Have a great day!

Good Morning, Christmas Cohorts.

We enter yet another week on our quest for Christmas and its glorious Season.
The first full week of February.
The first week and first day of the rest of our 2018 count!

So, without further delay or chit-chat, here are the latest figures:
Days to the Season: 281
Days to Christmas Day: 323

And this is also the first day of the last week of the first quarter of our Season count.
Yes, Folks. As of TODAY, we are precisely SEVEN days away from the 1/4 marker to Christmas Season 2018.

The weather warmed up a bit yesterday but that was not the whole story. We had quite a bit of rain. That has cleared, but now the cold weather is back.
(Seems like if it's dry, it's cold and when it's warm it's wet.)
Our current temperature, to start off the new week, is 36 degrees here in central NC.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!
