Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Friday wishes to ya all. Here's looking forward to a nice weekend, regardless if it snows, sleets or rains!

I took the day off today to get things done, have a long weekend and to be with my wife, who, has been home sick for the last three days. She's resting, the kitties are napping and I'm getting ready to head to a doctors appointment in about 45 minutes or so.

We came up with a grand idea the other night, for next Christmas, we are going to make up the bed in our bedroom to look very Christmassy. We searched on-line and we found over the course of several web sites and several nights, Linens, sheets, pillow cases, shams, bed skirts, comforters, and quilts that were from this past Christmas, on clearance and they are beautiful, really nice stuff. It will be a Christmas comfy place to sleep by the time we are done with it. Colors like plaid quilt, velvet red shams, white shams, candy striped red sheets and bed skirt; very festive looking. I'm excited, can't wait to see what it will look like for this coming Christmas.

This weekend, weather wise, will be blahhhhh outside; rain, so, it will be a good weekend to just get some loose things tied up on the inside here, run a few errands and such.

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I watched Thor: Ragnarok for the first time last night. It was awesome! I actually had a couple hours home alone, uninterrupted. Nancy & Elizabeth went to a prom committee meeting last night. Needless to say, security was a top discussion, considering the events of earlier this week. I'm glad they're taking it so seriously.

Lunch with mom & Jim today, then Nancy and I are going to hear Jacob play at a nearby restaurant tonight.

We saw Thor: Ragnarok in theatres and it was indeed awesome! Some stunning visuals, like the Valkyries coming in. One of the best superhero movies I've seen in a while.

Hope your wife gets over this illness soon. I love your idea of decorating your bedroom for Christmas. It's one thing I would love to do but David would not. He loves Christmas decorations, but limited to the tree and the living room. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, even just the process of researching and finding items to decorate will be fun!

I’ve had a thought in my head for a very long time about also getting a tall, but yet not that big around at the bottom Christmas tree for the bedroom also. Not a whole lot of lights on it to where the room is ablaze in lights, but more like a beautiful, warm, yet festive lighting on it.

Thank you all for the well wishes to my wife. Today was the first time all week that she felt a little better that she ventured out with me for just a short while.

You watch now, she’ll get better then I’ll start to fall ill; never fails.

Morning MMC. Good Last Weekend of February to you. The winter doldrums are starting to wind down (although I still think we will get 1 snowstorm in March). But it's a good feeling. The sun is peeking out but we will see heavy rain tonight through half of Sunday. Lots of errands to do today but I don't mind my Saturday errands at all. It's a nice change after a long work week. Happy Saturday!
It’s going to be cloudy with chance of showers, highs near 55 degrees. I’m heading out to make a big food shopping trip as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. Not too much going on here otherwise, I’ll just be working on the laundry. I’m thinking about grilling burgers & hot dogs for dinner, we haven’t done that in awhile. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Of course, we also want to be up on the nearing proximity of the next Milestone, which just happens to be the 300-Day Christmas Day Window.
The distance is now down to just FOUR days, barely over HALF a week!
(So close to double 200's!)

Mother Nature continues to be in a good mood and still smiles on us, as she delivers day after day of warm weather.
Two more days of this before the return of cooler weather, Monday.

Good Saturday morning! They predict some sun and a return to milder temperatures today. Only 2 days left on my staycation, wish I had another week off to be honest. I hope to get most everything done today (groceries, laundry, chores etc) so that tomorrow we can just relax on our last day off. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hope your wife is feeling better. We have a beautiful Christmas quilt set for our bed that my aunt have given us and I have a couple Christmas quilts for the kids bed that I got on clearance one year. I love it I get to pull them out and use them on our beds.

Good morning .. another rainy dreary day today. We will be heading out to the battling cages later today, our daughter's start softball practice next week. Also have to take her shopping for black pants for work, is working at Rita's Italian Water Ice and I don't her to ruin her good black pants there.

Planning on making a batch of mint chocolate chip cookies later tonight too

It is going to be 85 degrees tomorrow!!! This time last month I received what wound up being the highest heating bill of my life from the cold snap and one month later it is 85!!??!!

Good morning. I caught a little wink of sunshine this morning before the clouds started rolling in. It’s supposed to start raining soon and continue through most of the day.

Coffee was the first thing on the list this morning. It felt so nice to get about 10 hours of sleep last night, but I woke up with a headache. So two tynolol and coffee this morning should take care of it.

I just envision a day of doing some little things, paper work and such, I got a lot done yesterday so today should be pretty laid back.

I’ve had a thought in my head for a very long time about also getting a tall, but yet not that big around at the bottom Christmas tree for the bedroom also. Not a whole lot of lights on it to where the room is ablaze in lights, but more like a beautiful, warm, yet festive lighting on it.

I'm lovin' these ideas of yours ... unfortunately, our bedroom is too small to follow suit. A house or apartment with a big master bedroom could do some wonderful decorating!

Well my sister got the flu and I had my nieces from Wednesday until just a few minutes ago. It’s pretty bad that the teachers working the drop off and pick up lanes at the schools have started to recognize me. So I spent most of my week driving them around and trying to relearn 7th and 4th grade math. Thank god for google. Lol!! I hope everyone had a good week and that you at e enjoying your weekend!!

Walmart had a pencil Christmas tree this year that I thought about getting to do the same thing with. It was like 6.5 ft tall but only like 18 inches wide at the base. I waited until after Christmas and they were all gone. If they get them next year though, I’ll probably get one.

Right now, I have a Christmas tree that hangs flat on the wall at the end of my bed. It’s like 3 feet tall and has 50 lights on it.
