I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It sounds like he was a great guy. And I'm glad your mom is ok after the fall!
Thanks Brad.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

Nancy and I kept baby Rosa Friday night so mom could go out to eat with her girls group. She's such a sweetie! I worked most of the day Saturday, then out to mom's for lunch after church yesterday.

Jim came for lunch on Sunday, and to catch a few Z's before going back to the hospital. He and did a little maintenance around mom's that afternoon, as we always have, and it gave us both a little feeling of normalcy, at least for a little while.

I hope y'all have a great day!:D
Praying your SIL is improving every minute!!!

I stumbled into "Forecast Discussion" on the NWS website, and it sounds like a foreign language! But where they speak plainer English, you can tell that there are so many complex moving parts to the next storm that they are having a really difficult time predicting what it will do several days in advance. Their forecast can only be as good as their data, and when the variables are SO variable and the models they rely on don't agree, it's hard to come up with a forecast that will satisfy the public both before and after the storm. So I feel bad when people bash the weather forecaster.

Total agreement with you on all parts. I read those discussions also, and about half of it, I have not a clue in the world to what they are talking about. Especially when they use acronyms and such. I feel bad for them, they get such a bum wrap, when the forecast is not accurate. They can only go by the computer models and Try to do the best they can, with what information is given to them.

Well, the last time I looked, better get your snow boots ready, I think we are going to get some more snow Tuesday - Wednesday!

Keeping your sil in our prayers, along with the family.

Good morning. How did the calendar turn back to Monday so soon??
Alexa told me this morning that this is the last full day of winter & it's time to put my snowmen away. LOL! How did she know I still have my snowmen up?? :p :D
It was a sad weekend around here. We lost a truly great guy in a car accident. 40 years old, father to 3, teacher at an alternative school who was really having an influence on these troubled kids. So, so sad! :( Despite that terrible news the rest of the weekend was nice - spent with friends. We had a UPS retirement party yesterday. The weekend just goes too fast!
Mom fell yesterday, but thankfully she's fine! What a weekend!
I hope you all had a Happy St. Patrick's Day weekend!

That’s rough; so sad to hear things like that. I’m glad that you mom is ok.

Believe it or not, we weren't home enough to even try it yet!! I gave 1 loaf to our lake neighbors - they said it was good. You can bet I'm having some for lunch - either a grilled cheese or grilled peanut butter & jelly! :p
Mine was a little messy too. I actually kneaded it & didn't use my kitchen aid this time!
:p Had to put some flour on my hands.

Let me know how you like it when you try it! I had mine with plain old butter. I've even been nibbling on it plain!

Apparently it's not supposed to be kneaded smooth, the dough is supposed to be "shaggy," so I didn't really knead mine except to pull it together and shape it into a round.

Merry Monday!
Hope you all had a good weekend!
Looks like we may have another storm this week but they aren't sure of the totals yet! I can't wait for spring! Have a great day!

With you mentioning spring, it’s right around the corner. Friday, I saw at the office, the flower beds outside, the (Easter Lillie’s - that’s what my grandfather called them) were all sticking up from out of the soil about 2-3 inches.

This morning, I saw a big flock of robins. Yes, spring will be here soon.

I have made it before. It's never been bad, but you never know with bread! ;) It's never as good as when Emma makes it! :)
Now I'm hungry for bread! :p

My tulips & daffs have been up for awhile now. They have to be getting cold!

You ladies keep talking about the freshly baked bread, it’s got me craving now for some! I think I’ll go throw a bagel in the toaster and slap it full of butter and raspberry jam!!!!

LOL! Sounds like a great plan!!

I forgot to mention - yesterday morning at the lake, I put Lucy outside on her lead. I went back in the trailer for probably 10 minutes or so, I walked back outside & Lucy was GONE!!! Her lead broke! FREAK OUT!!!:eek: I woke Jim & he took off one direction I took off the other. Our neighbors were doing some work outside - they said they had just seen her - they thought we had just let her outside, loose - so they were looking for her too. THANKFULLY they found her under the neighbors (Jackson, her boyfriend) awning. It only took about 5-10 minutes to find her, but it seemed like 10 hours. She nearly gave her mama a heart attack.

Oh geez, that would get a persons heartrate up just a tad. I’m sure glad you found her.

“What kind of summer will it be MMC friends?”

CINDY DAY, Chief Meteorologist with our local Halifax Herald paper, and SaltWire Network, says that her Grandma had theory. Grandma watched the wind direction at the precise time of the Spring equinox. Don't forget that is tomorrow. She believed it pointed to the type of summer we could expect.

Here’s how: "A south wind meant the summer would be warm. If the wind was from the north it would be colder than average. An east wind would bring lots of damp or wet weather, and a west wind promised a dry season. If the wind was light, less than 5 km/h at the precise time of the equinox, the wind direction could be considered variable and not a good indicator."

Spring arrives at 12:14 Eastern tomorrow, so just for fun I am going to give this a try. Ha ha...

The Ariel and Shiloh are relaxing and enjoying the day. Me, i’m doing laundry, new home stuff with the lender, inspections and realtor and then later, running errands.

That’s a heated blanket that they are laying on, I think they are getting spoiled rotten!!!

Computer finally just gave up and died, no fixing it this time. I am now accessing through my phone. This way is a bit more work and takes longer but I can at least get here again !
Not working as cashier anymore. Now I get to look after a cute 6 year old.
Beautiful sunny day here and chilly.
