You are so right, Edge...usually March is a long month for me but it did fly by this year..have a good weekend and bring on spring!

A matched pair of back-to-back markers, just a day apart!

We cooled off a bit yesterday and had some light morning rain, but all in all it was pretty nice indeed as we prepare to close out the month of March.
(Tomorrow is April 1, and I for one am glad that date does not fall on a Wednesday, because there is absolutely no telling what kind of prank Carl might be willing to take a shot at!)
Our current temperature here in the capital city is 46 degrees.

Good morning. Its a bright and sunny day today, the tweety birds are all outside the house singing away, I open up the curtains to let the sunshine in, and now the kitties are now all stretched out, soaking up the suns rays. Coffee is the first order of the day and then I’m going to run out and do a couple errands this morning.

Well I didn’t hit the mega millions. Has anyone heard from Jayish or Minta this morning though? Lol!!

Lots of cooking for me today. 2 desserts and 6 sides to make up. It’s worth it to make tomorrow stress free though.

Merry Saturday!

We are under a wind advisory until 11 pm tonight. Hopefully, all the work the crews did on trimming the trees will keep us from losing electricity this time around. :)

There is still a bit of food prep to do today, nothing like what lies ahead for Made582, but enough to keep me busy most of the afternoon.

Well, guess what, my (2) pork loins came up of the oven just beyond wonderful! I put salt, pepper, cumin, parsley flakes, garlic salt on both sides, then baked in the oven for 30 minutes at 400 degrees.

The cookies are made and now I am listening to it rain and am watching a chipmunk gather walnuts. The birds are quite busy out there, too. :)
 
Good Sunday Easter morning! It's mild and incredibly windy here and temperatures are supposed to drop as the day goes on. We'll do some cleaning up around here before my in-laws come over for a visit this afternoon. Have a great day everyone!

Moving along now into the second half of our weekend.
And as usual, we are eager to view the latest count numbers and thrill to the approach of our next Milestone marker (er....make it our next TWO Milestone markers. They are back-to-back!)

Here are today's numbers:
Days to the Season: 226
Days to Christmas Day: 268

And the markers in questions?
Well, on April 26, now just 25 days away, we arrive at the the One-Third Christmas day point, and on the very next day, we will throw open that 200-day Season Window and begin a 100's level count sequence.
(Our April binary Milestones always generate excitement!)

We cooled off as predicted yesterday, but only a light jacket was required and we had no precipitation.
Today should see a return to the 70's and we are starting it off at 50 degrees here in central North Carolina.

I ended up having to cancel our plans for today because I’m sick. I feel bad, I never had to do this before. I am still going to cook a big meal since I have everything in the house, my daughter is going to help me. I guess we’ll be eating leftovers for awhile.
I hope everyone is well and has a beautiful day!
