Meet me by the fireplace. I'll bring extra teabags.![]()
That's my usual place at the 'Pines (well, except during heat waves). I like to sit back, sip some tea and watch all the fun. Join me anytime! Now that sounds like a great plan. The wind just started howling here, and it’s been blahhhh, all day long, so the thought of sitting in front of a nice fire sounds great.

Thanks Crown! Send some of that warmth northward!Good Morning, Friends.
"Over the hump and down the slope".
Pines Day always marks the mid-point of the week, and now we can coast on in to Weekend Eve tomorrow!
We are also coasting right along through our count and onward to a set of binary Milestone markers this month.
Days to the Season: 222
Days to Christmas Day: 264
The pending pair of markers are, of course, the ONE-THIRD Christmas Day Milestone and the 200-day Season Window.
Both arrive later this month. In fact the former will be here THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY, and the latter on the following day.
(Still a ways off yet, but the excitement needs time to build, right?)
Another nice warm one yesterday and the rain did not develope which is both good news and bad. The day was not washed out, but neither was the pollen and it's something I would just as soon do away with!
This day-before-Weekend-Eve has commenced here in Raleigh sunny, at 40 degrees.
Have a Thrilling Thursday, Everyone!
I hope your physio goes well. Take care of that arm!Good Thursday morning! By the time I finished work yesterday it was so windy that even driving my car was a struggle at times. With those winds, temperatures dropped down dramatically and it's now -19°C (-2°F) with the windchill factor. This extreme cold should last only one day. Other than laundry and chores today on my day off, I have acouple of things I need to get to properly take care of my left forearm following my physio appointment. I need to get a heating pad, an arm band and a stress ball. I can barely squeeze a stress ball with my left arm. It's about time I started physio. Hope everyone enjoys a great day!
Bless her heart, I hope she overs it quickly, and I hope y'all can avoid it, too!Good morning MMC! It is so cold out there today definitely feels like a winter morning. My SIL called me last night and she was diagnosed with the flu, she was at out house on Easter. I hope no one else gets it...I am going to boost everyone's Vit C and hope for the best. Her Dr. gave her Tamiflu so hopefully she will feel better sooner.
Not too much planned for tonight just catching up on laundry and looking forward to a quiet weekend, we don't have any real plans.
Hope you all have a good day!
In 1995, I think it was, opening day at Fenway was postponed because of snow. That was a rough winter, and another year it took forever for spring to take hold.I gotta laugh, I just saw a weather posting from Justin Berk and get this, the computer models are saying that it may snow on Saturday again in the mid-Atlantic/ New England areas. Isn't that something! I just cannot remember the last time I saw any accumulating snow in April.
Make it two!I definitely will. But first, I have to make a pit stop over at the dessert bar that Carl setup and get a plate full of goodies!
