Good afternoon ... got the 1st tray of the cookies in the oven now. basically it's a chocolate chip cookie recipe with a couple little tweaks and chopped up cherries added. Watching an old rerun of America's Funniest Videos on TV and it's a Christmas Episode ... Love finding these little surprises on TV

I just read that the National Weather Service did officially upgrade the number of tornadoes that hit Connecticut to 4. Those storms were wicked. My wife's uncle still cannot get out of their neighborhood. He was in one of the towns where a tornado touched down in. He said that trees and power lines are still down everywhere around them. He said it looks like a bomb hit down the street from his house. Hundreds of cars damaged, homes, and trees down all over the place; it's a mess. We were not in any of those paths, but wow, it was pretty wild when the storms did hit here. Crazy huh?

Prayers for those who got hit.

Having been through three of them, it’s amazing the power they can pack.

Well, we officially started packing today. We started emptying cabinets and shelves here in the apartment. We are still around four weeks away from moving, but we can start moving things into the place in about three weeks. It's exciting and yet nerve wracking all in the same boat. I am excited to be so close, in finally having my personal things, furniture and such around me once more. They've all been in storage since October last Fall and I do miss my things.

Merry Monday!

Good Morning, MMC!!! I'm just sitting in the waiting room at the hospital. Mom has been having some chest pain so her doctor ordered a stress test for this morning. Which her walking on a treadmill after her strokes should be interesting. At least we are already here if she falls and breaks something. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Good Morning, Friends.
A new week has arrived quite dependably, right on schedule.

And of course, as always, so have our count figures.

Days to Christmas Day: 218

That 200-day Christmas Day Milestone marker? Well, it's getting closer and closer, Folks.
A scant EIGHTEEN days away, now. Barely over 2 1/2 weeks up the road.
Then a DOUBLE-100'S count, as we begin to move into faster track territory!

Not so warm yesterday and we had a respite from the rain, however brief. We have a stronger chance of precipitation today and tomorrow.
At this hour, we show 71 degrees here in the capital city.
