Good luck with looking for a new refrigerator. You know, I think some places will actually haul your old refrigerator away for you, which is a really nice deal if you can get that.
We found a nice side-by-side that should be the right size, with ice maker and an ice water dispenser in the door like I wanted. It even displays the temps inside the freezer and fridge. (If we'd had that feature on the old one, we would have noticed sooner that the fridge was failing!) And they will haul the old one away (for $25---well worth it). It's a little smaller than the old one, but that one (which came with the house when we bought it) fits into a space without a millimeter to spare, so I wanted a little bit of space around it so we can get ahold of it to pull it out and clean behind it. Looking forward to having it installed next week!

Just scored some mill-end yarn skeins at Jo-Ann that I’m pretty sure are Red Heart Mistletoe. Nice savings!

Hmm ... mine has little red and green specks in the white, so maybe it’s not Red Heart Mistletoe after all, but it’s still pretty and a nice bargain.

Happy Birthday, Made!! Have a wonderful day!

Thanks, Everyone!! Having reached the last year of my thirty’s I can truly say, 39 feels like the new 80. Lol!!!

Or maybe that’s because my aunt bought a new bedroom suit and then tore her meniscus at work yesterday. So I had to tear apart her old one by myself and move it to the spare room before picking up her new one today.

I am officially done with this school year.

Tomorrow is graduation which will officially mark my son's end of high school. Two months from now he will be at Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. His life is about to get REAL! :D

School is out? Good for you! We are done on Thursday.

Congrats to your son. Big step. Also, tell him thank you for his service.

Morning MMC. Happy Memorial Day Eve. A bit of a change overnight as we went from a hot and humid summer day to a cooler and damp drizzly day. Got the a/c up which was a big thing yesterday. Always feel relieved knowing it's up for the summer. Today just going to do a few things around here and try to relax some. Have a great Memorial Day Eve!

Good Morning, Folks.

Proceeding right along into the second half or our weekend as we approach a significant Milestone marker, about which we will speak in just a moment.

Let's look at today's figures to start things off:
Days to the Season: 170
Days to Christmas Day: 212

And just look how close we are now to SINGLE DIGITS to the 200-Day Christmas Day Window. It's barely 12 days off now.
That point, of course, will be the springboard to a double "1" count sequence.
(Who says things can't be exciting in May?)

Had a bit of rain yesterday morning but otherwise, things were pretty nice for late May here in the south.
Today should be rain free before the wet stuff returns for tomorrow.
Our area of MMC has commenced part II of the weekend at 72 degrees.

Have a Super Sunday and enjoy the remainder of your weekend with a smile on your lips and a Christmas song in your heart!

Good Sunday morning! The sky is grey, it’s going to be that way all day. I got in a nice long walk at the park with Loki. Glad I went early because they’re holding a run to benefit multiple sclerosis research. We’ll do our usual grocery shopping this morning and after some chores and laundry, we’ll take it easy and catch up on our dvr. Hope everyone enjoys a great day!

Good morning, y'all. Sitting here with Bambina and drinking coffee. She is watching this video about the alphabet. Her and her sister love it....but it annoys the heck out of me. LOL. I guess you take the good with the bad.

Got a birthday party at 1, cookout at 4, and homemade ice-cream at 6:00. Gonna be a great day....

Merry Sunday MMC ~
It’s going to be a cloudy and rainy day here. Not too much going. I’ll just be doing some cleaning, cooking & prepping for our barbecue tomorrow. I probably won’t even leave the house today. I have a pot of sauce simmering on the stove, dinner will be baked ziti. I hope everyone is well. Have a great day!

Happy Sunday to all!

It’s gone from sultry to chilly here, but at least it will cool off the house. Our new fridge doesn’t come until next week, so we got some fresh staples to put in our basement mini-fridge, but we’ll lose everything else in the fridge and freezer. Oh, well. Refrigeration is like electricity and running water ... when you’re without it, you realize how much we take it for granted.

Doing some laundry today, following up with some computer updates, and hoping to get some sofa time. So happy tomorrow is a holiday. I’m still kinda worn out from last week. It’s been crazy at the office, and it’s been hard to keep up the pace. Less than a month until vacation, though! That will keep me going.

Good morning everyone. Dreary day outside, I bet ya this will put a damper on a few of folks outdoor festivities today! yesterday, it felt exactly, just like a July day in Orlando Florida hot, hazy and humid around here.

I just got done, cooking me up some Rapa Scrapple (they don’t sell it up here in these parts, so I gotta go back down to Maryland and pick up a bunch and bring em back here for me to keep in the freezer), for when I’m in the mood to fry some up.

Not going to get into a whole lot today, just do some house cleaning, a little packing, maybe some laundry and I think we will take a road check up to go check on the house.

We want to just do a lot of relaxing, to enjoy some slow pace days for a change and rest. Last week, just wore us down at both of our jobs, so this long weekend is a tremendous nice break.

Look at what I discovered,

Well, graduation is now over. My son is officially done with high school. It was a great ceremony and he was specifically recognized for going into the military. They announced the scholarships and awards for each student and then took the time to announce his decision to join the Army. He is the only one in his class who is joining. It was a nice bonus for him to be recognized. It meant a lot to us.

In other, more Christmassy news, we got the Hallmark Christmas ornament catalog today! There are some wonderful ornaments in there. I always enjoy looking through it at the start of summer. Especially on days like today when it is 90 degrees.

Well, everyone have a nice Sunday evening.

Good evening ... woke up this morning and it warm and very humid outside and now its raining, breezy and very chilly. Well this weekend was a lot about Christmas .. watched Home Alone and Home Alone 2 last night on TV and went shopping at Toys R Us again today. Scored a couple more Christmas gifts for the kids and got a Christmas and a birthday gift for one of our nieces. We are thinking about stopping at a different Toys R Us next week, this one is a little further away to see if we can find any other gits. Have a good night,

That's wonderful to what your son has decided to do, I know you are a proud Dad! I thank him for his willingness to serve and defend this country; God Bless him for his bravery.
I myself, am a Navy veteran and my son, is in the Air Force, so I know how you feel.
