When I passed the house with the two jumbo teddy bears in chairs at the foot of the driveway this morning, I saw one of them was holding a flag for Flag Day! That gave me a big smile! (I'm wearing a t-shirt with a flag pattern in honor of the day. Most people forget our flag's birthday.)

I would LOVE to pour my driveway! I'm the only one at our house who takes it easy coming into the property. Everyone else barrels through like they're in a dirt track race. I have more holes to fill in every year, doggone it. LOLGood morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!!! Is it 3:30 yet??
Not much going on today besides work. It's a beautiful morning - plenty of sunshine!
Our concrete guy came over last night to measure our driveway. We are having a new driveway poured/widened, & a new sidewalk. It was supposed to be done last year, but they are so busy. Then it was supposed to be done a few weeks ago, but now it's scheduled for the week of the 4th! xx

It's still raining every afternoon, so I can't mow the lawn. I don't usually complain too much about that, but it's starting to get pretty tall. I hate when the clippings pile up behind the mower. Then I have to drive over the yard twice to spread them out. Grrr.
Elizabeth has been going to The Little Mermaid practice every night. I think Nancy and I are going with her tonight, so we can do a Walmart run while she practices.

LOL! Poor Brad!
Ours is already poured, but there is a bump where the driveway meets the road - we were going to have that flattened out, but it would look funny to have the new concrete at the end of the driveway & not the rest. Plus our driveway is starting to crack. So they need to bust up all the old driveway & start fresh! Gah!

Happy Thursday everyone. The sourdough starter is doing well. Just two more days of feeding it. It's starting to have that nice fermented smell. The summer cold is all but gone, thanks to some medication and some rest. It's a bit breezy here today leaving everything in the mid twenties C (mid 70s F) so it was great to get the dog out for some play time. As the saying goes, he was rode hard and put away wet. I have an idea for a Christmas treat for the kids. I'll keep you posted so I get all your feedback. Merry, merry everyone!

The wife and I had a great time at the Indy PopCon. We met and took a picture with Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher, Star Trek TNG) and Levar Burton (Geordi La Forge Star Trek TNG and Reading Rainbow) If you are on facebook you can find our cosplay stuff. Search for Lola and the Professor and you can see our pictures from the weekend and previous weekends.
The last couple of days have just been busy around the house. Off and on rain and storms until today. It is nice out today, a little cooler and lots of sun.
Not much on the schedule today. I need to get some writing done. I need to have 2-3 chapters of my thesis done for Sunday night. I have it organized, I just need to sit down and do some writing.
