We started our summer Vacation Bible School last night, and it went well. Nancy found directions to make a "water blob" on Pinterest, and it worked pretty good. The kids had a blast jumping on it!

Back to VBS again this evening.

Our Disney trip was great, Father's Day was good, and yesterday I had two meals provided to me for my birthday. A co-worker is making a cake for me later this week.

Now that things have settled down for us after a busy few weeks, I'm ready for Christmas in July!

Good Morning, Friends, Acquaintances and Strangers!

Welcome once again to the friendliest spot on the internet, where the primary subject is Christmas, a topic which always seems to bring out the best in everyone who allows its spirit to direct theirs.

As such, we gleefully count down the days to Christmas and its Season, taking note of the various Milestone markers along the way.

First up, the official count:
Days to the Season: 147
Days to Christmas Day: 189

And as far as our next marker is concerned, let it be known that it is the HALF WAY point to Christmas Day and it will be arriving precisely ONE WEEK from today!
(Right on schedule, according to our Countdown chart.)

Well, we made the nartional news in a bad way yesterday, when we hit a heat index figure of 102 in the afternoon.
Today is suposed to be just as bad if not worse, as the heat and humidity tighten their grip on us. Some relief is predicted for late in the week.
We are already up to 79 degrees this morning here in the capital city.

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!
It’s going to be warm & humid today, highs near 87. I just went to do a load of laundry and found a puddle in front of the washing machine. I hope my husband can figure out what’s wrong and fix it. Not too much going on here today. I have a neurologist appointment this morning, just a routine yearly visit for those annoying headaches & migraines. Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house. Dinner will be tacos. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a merry day!

Good morning MMC!! Merry Tuesday!!

We got our tent put up last night over our patio. So thankful for helpful neighbors!! Some friends stopped in too! It was a fun night. I'm going to be exhausted by the time the festival starts on Friday. LOL!! Our neighborhood is buzzing with anticipation!

Just work for me today & then I need to get on top of cleaning the inside of the house! Pre-party at our house tomorrow night, then at neighbors house Thursday night...then it's time for the festival! I made a big bag of snack mix last night. Tonight I'm making a jalapeno dip. (or maybe I'll do that at lunch?!) Need to get BACK to the store to buy lemons for lemonade shake up! (Can't believe I forgot them last night!)

Anyway.... you all have a GREAT day!!! We have sunshine now, but a chance of storms all day & night! I'm ok with that - we need rain! (but no bad storms!)

Hey there folks, I’ve been pretty darned busy for the past 5 days. We finally (officially) obtained our home. We did the final walk thru this past Friday, but, i got the keys to the place on Thursday evening. That night, I got to the house first, then I waited for my wife. She got there and I carried Her over the threshold as it was the first time she came to the house as an owner. Then inside I had a bottle of bubbly, and other things in the refrigerator waiting for her.

Since then, we’ve been packing and going over to the house in the evenings and cleaning it. And boy, do I mean cleaning it! We are both like, nope, not moving in till Mr Clean and Clorox Bleach hits everything, lol.

We have our bedroom set being delivered tomorrow, carpet to be installed and then cable hooked up.

Friday the movers will be here with two moving vans, a 28 and 17 footer. And then the big moving day will then commence. We’re super excited and have been busting our behinds to get the place all super clean.

So, if you don’t hear from me much, you’ll know what I’m up to over the next 4-5 days.

Hey ya Sugar! I ran into a storm last night myself on the way back here to the apartment from the house. I guess it was around 10:30 last night, it rained so hard, I could not even see the lines in the road at all, I was driving blind for awhile. Jill was behind my truck following me and she said the same thing to me. She said the only thing that she kept her bearings was the lights on my truck.
