Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

It's been a pretty good trip so far. I've met several customers that I've only spoken on the phone with, and I've eaten lots of awesome meals! Last night, we rented 10 bays at Topgolf, and had a super time!

We have a couple hours in the booth today, then dinner with customers tonight at a Cuban restaurant. That'll be new to me LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Good morning all.

Henry's track meet went well yesterday. It was raining until about 15 min. before the start, then cleared up and was hot and humid. Henry had fun doing the long jump and running the 100.

Today is sunny, but the temperature is going up, up, up. Today is suppose to be about 85 and humid, then in the 90s the next several days.

Everyone have a good day!

Like some others who've already reported, it's very dark and rainy here today. We had a flash of lightning and a big roll of thunder a little while ago, and it's supposed to be wet and thundery all day.

First day back to work after vacation ... I already miss Hilo. Slept the sleep of the exhausted Tuesday night after getting home, but last night just couldn't sleep. I think my system is still on Hawaii time.

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve! Not much up for me today besides work...and laundry! Good day for hanging clothes on the line! Git 'r done! ;) It kind of snuck up on me this week - especially since we are on vaca next week. I want to make sure we're prepared!!

I read a story this morning from "Chicken Soup For The Soul, Christmas Treasury For Kids & their families" It's a book you're supposed to read a story every day from Dec. 1 to Dec. 25...well, I'm reading it for Christmas in July - starting early cuz I'm sure I'll miss a day here & there! ;)

I liked the 1st saying in the book:

What is Christmas?
It is a tenderness for the past,
courage for the present,
hope for the future.
It is a fervent wish that every cup
may overflow with blessings
rich & eternal,
And that every path may lead to peace.
Agnes M. Pharo

Have a great day MMC!

Happy Thursday MMC ~
Cloudy with showers this morning, I hear some rumbles of thunder out there. I’m just having my coffee and hanging out with Rocky. We were up extra early with my husband because he had to be on a job site in the city. I think we might sneak back to bed for a little bit, Rocky definitely wasn’t ready to wake up that early. Not too much going on here. I’ll just be working on the laundry and I want to plan my Fourth of July menu. I’m making chicken cacciatore with angel hair pasta for dinner tonight. My middle one is off today so we we’re going to bake something this afternoon as well, we’re going to pick a cookie recipes off of Pinterest. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a Happy Friday Eve!!!

Sounds like a great day! Pinterest is literally the best! Enjoy your day!

A2699F15-E23C-41CA-9DE7-80C499A43663.jpeg Good morning! Taking the kids shortly here to paint pottery and out to lunch with a girlfriend and her daughter. I work tonight at 7, but then I’m off for four days.

The rain held off just long enough last night to get the game in and most of the fireworks. Nittany hasn’t been dealing well with rain, thunder or fireworks. We got her a thunder vest and with the storm that came through here last night, she did great! Here’s a pic of her.

Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks, everyone! It's great to be back, both at home and on MMC.

We had a wonderful time. Although Hilo and Gloria are on the rainy side of the Big Island, we had more sunshine than usual, and every evening a beautiful "light show" at twilight from the sun and clouds. The morning of the day we left, there was a beautiful rainbow in the morning.

Our time with Gloria was also wonderful, but bittersweet. She is beginning to fail physically. It was so difficult to get her into and out of a car, so two of the days that we visited she didn't want to go out. The other days we took her out for lunch and dessert, and one day for a little shopping. Although she's failing physically, mentally she's still sharp and sunny, although she occasionally loses her concentration for a few moments and asks us to repeat a question or comment. In spite of the physical difficulties, she really enjoyed her lunch trips with us.

I was still off today (although Mr. went to work---brave soul!) and I slept SO late after our l-o-n-g, nearly sleepless trip home. After I finally got up, today was one long whirl of laundry, bookkeeping, folding laundry, putting away laundry, catching up with the held mail ... visiting MMC is the first thing I've done for pleasure all day! It's back to work tomorrow, and I'm starting to get pumped up about July Fourth. We've been anticipating our vacation so long that the Fourth has kind of sneaked up on me!
We were on the other side of the Big Island! But several people we were with went over to Hilo! Sorry to hear Gloria is slipping. That's hard! Prayers for her! I'm sure she was so happy to have you there! We took the day after off work too - what a long & exhausting trip!! Whew! So much travel time! I bet your hubby was struggling to get through?
I hope your 1st day back to work goes well! xx

Morning MMC! We have some Drownpours this morning (yes I spelled it that way). My day off was good, relaxing and really broke up this busy week for me. Same thing will happen next week with the 4th. Hope you all enjoy your Thursday!
Stay dry! Glad you enjoyed your day off! Have a good day!

Good Morning, Second Half Travelers.

Yes, Folks. In case you missed it, we passed the half-way point to Christmas a couple of days ago and are now on the downhill slope in BOTH or our counts!

What's next? You'll find out.
(Boy, will you find out!)

First, though:
Days to the Season: 138
Days to Christmas Day: 180

Now hold on, because there's hard-to-believe news coming.
I just 16 days - two weeks from the day after tomorrow -- we will be 2/3 OF THE WAY TO CHRISTMAS SEASON 2018.
You read that correctly, TWO thirds!
(This is just starting to get really frightening, Guys!)

It was again pleasant yesterday with reasonable temps, lower humidity and no rain.
Today will see us return to the mid-90's however, and we will then be in a "heat rut" for quite some time to come.
Our day here has commenced at 75 degrees.

Have a Thrilling Thursday Everyone, while you dream of Weekend Eve tomorrow!
Thanks crown!! Stay cool & have a good day!

I hope you & Rocky were able to catch a few more zzz's! My little 4 legged creature is limping. We think she maybe got stung by a bee Tuesday night. I gave her a bath in oatmeal shampoo last night then put Benadryl on it. My family was over & she was a wild woman. Now this morning she was favoring that paw again. Little booger!
You'll have to let us know what you decided to bake from Pinterest. Sounds fun (and yummy!) Do you have big plans for the 4th? Have a great day HMG!

Have a good weekend MMC friends. The weather people are predicting a heat wave for the Maritimes, just in time for the Canada Day weekend. Canada Day, July first, is on Sunday and most communities in Nova Scotia have fairs, parades, food and fireworks ready.

Awe! (((HUGS))) to Nittany!! I hope the fireworks (& thunder) aren't too rough on her this year! She's so pretty! We had a thunder shirt for Gracie too. Hopefully Lucy will deal with them better! xx Enjoy your day!! And then your days off - even better! :)
