Christmas Countdown - 2018

Oh yea! We love our 65 inch also. Very, very nice!

65 inches would be amazing, but we only had space for a fabulous 43 incher. We have had it for about 17 months, and I am still awed by how good it looks.

View attachment 46297 Hello friends! I’m back! What an amazing vacation and beautiful weather we had. I’m so glad to be back though in my own bed, drinking my own coffee, and seeing my pup. No place is better than home!

Today is DH and my 10th wedding anniversary and 15 years of being a couple. We plan on going out for dinner tonight.

Not too much planned during the day today. I’ve gotta go to the dentist after lunch. I chipped my front tooth while I was on vacation, so I’ve gotta see what he can do about that for me. I’m going to unpack and maybe try to catch a Hallmark movie. I head back to work tomorrow evening. Boo.

I have got to get to the store/farmers market to pick up some corn on the cob. I've been craving it all week! I checked ours in the garden last night & it's not quite ready yet! Can't wait for that!!

Definitely go to get that corn! I'm sure I am biased here, but there is nothing like Ohio sweet corn!! We have had it so many times for dinner this summer already that my husband is starting to question my sanity! (Well, there are many reasons he questions it, but I'm sure the abundance of corn so far this year I have put on his plate factors in! )

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a great Thursday so far. I am meeting a friend for dinner tonight and really looking forward to it. There is nothing like catching up with an old friend. The kind that no matter how much time has passed, we can sit down and start talking like we just saw each other yesterday. I really need that too with all the crazy things going on right now. I also have put in a homemade chicken soup in the crock pot that will simmer all day for tomorrows dinner. Am I the only crazy one who still loves soup...even in the summer?

I agree! Ohio sweet corn & Indiana melons! Can't beat it! We always plant "Gotta Have It" bi-color sweet corn from Gurneys! I just haven't found any I like better, although a lot of people say serendipity is excellent too. Might have to try that some year, but when you have a good thing going - why change it?
I love freezing corn in quart bags & pulling that out in the winter!
