Tomorrow our friends/neighbors are having her whole family over for her Moms 90th birthday party.

Oh yea, I could smell them baking throughout the whole house. I don’t think they were out of the oven for a minute and I was already into them.

Staycations, I’m with you! Sometimes, I’d just rather do that then go traveling.

Now I'm hungry for banana bread!

We usually have a staycation in July (though we're at the lake) & then my Christmas to New Year is an at home/visiting staycation! Usually if we travel, it's in February/March. I do love staycations! ♥

It is once again Weekend Eve.
And once again, we settle down at our comfy computer desks to read all about the latest countdown data release.

Well OK, then:
Days to the Season: 116
Days to Christmas Day: 158

And the 100-Day Season Milestone?
Well, that's only 16 days away, now. Practically down to TWO WEEKS, as the year slowly drains away.

Pretty pleasant here yesterday for mid July, with reduced humidity and temperatures that stayed below 90. No rain, either. (I got that lawn mowed yesterday evening!)
Today will see us in the mid-80's but with a 50/50 chance of precipitation.
This day-before-the-weekend has dawned here at 72 degrees.

Happy Friday all. Family is visiting from across the pond, so we're going out for lunch. Then they're off to see the sights in New York.

It's been a quiet couple of days here. The FIL, with his dementia, now believes that he's been in this house before and he was offered a job here when he was younger. Neither has happened, but we know to go along with the illusion. No need to confuse him.

The weather is finally cooling down, but still not enough for my liking. I heard that as you get older your body has a harder time cooling itself. Maybe when I'm finally retired I'll just put myself on the next iceberg.

Morning MMC! I need a weekend bad lol. Work has really been so stressful the last 6 weeks I am starting to feel it inside. Not good. I'm leaving on time today no matter what I haven't gotten done. And next week I work 3 days and then am off Thursday thru Sunday. Anyone have fun plans for the weekend? Have a great Friday!

So nice to have a 3 day weekend to look forward too! I have a couple 4 day weeks next month! Although one of the Fridays I took off b/c Lu is getting spayed on that Thursday!

Happy Friday!
It’s going to be sunny today with a high of 80 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having my coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. Rocky had a rough night, he was up a lot with a belly ache. I’m pretty tired today so I might try to squeeze a nap in at some point. It will just be a typical day of errands and chores for me. We’re going to grill steaks for dinner, should be a relaxing evening. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!!!

Hope Rocky is feeling better real soon. Penny was throwing up the other night, have no idea why, but she is fine today.
I am baking some focacci bread (with rosemary and olives ) and then have to go and pick up my daughter. work does not start till noon today, but its only 4 hours so it is good.

I hope Penny is feeling fine & dandy now too!! Poor girl!

Good morning... How is it Friday already? I wanna restart my vacation LOL. I am sore this morning. DH and I put in a new floor in the kids bathroom yesterday. Another project checked off the list. Was not able to get all the projects done that I wanted but I did get a good amount done. Later this morning I am going to finish getting things together for donations. Time to clear out this stuff.

We have our solar panels being installed today, they have been here since 7 am. One of the guys left the gate open and Raven got out chasing a poor bunny. Never seen a bunny run that fast before. I called for her and she gave up the chase and came right to me. Poor bunny, not sure he will be brave enough to come back lol.

It's crazy how fast a vacation week goes, isn't it?? A work week never goes that fast!!

Good morning, MMC! It’s Friday, but it’s my weekend to work and first night back later on. I’ll have to catch a nap here later - the first night back is always tough, especially after 11 days off!

Not much going on today. I’m just drinking a cup of coffee and watching Hallmark.

Last evening was wonderful - DH and I really enjoyed dinner and we visited with my sister and BIL, as well as the baby. She is growing like a weed and doing so many new things.

Good rainy morning MMC! TGIF!! Yep, it's raining in Ohio!! Took me a bit to figure out what the wet stuff was falling from the sky!

I work until noon today & after a stop at Moms I'll be heading home to pack up for the weekend at the lake & then I'll head that direction! Lucy & I took a drive out there last night. It was such a nice night, it was hard to leave! Tomorrow our friends/neighbors are having her whole family over for her Moms 90th birthday party. We know her family pretty well & she wants us neighbors to be there. Hopefully the weather will hold out for them! xx As of now there is a 90% chance of rain tomorrow! Might be a Hallmark Christmas In July movie kind of weekend!!

Man, I can't wait until we reach 100 days until the season....it will be like we are practically there...

Oh boy did it ever. I got me a slice of one as soon as it came out of the oven, covered the top of it with butter and whipped cream. Oh my was that ever good! (I had to go get a second piece)!!!!

Am I ever. The heat, it like really just like sucks the life right out of me. Especially, when the humidity is also way up there. The Fall, ah yes... is what I love the most. The cooler temperatures, the colors, smells, harvest time and good eats.

I’m so looking forward to the weekend big time. First thing, that I’m not going to do, is set that alarm clock, lol. This weekend I will install all new towel holders and tp holders (since the previous homeowners were so kind to steal the ones that were in the house. And then they spackled over the holes and painted over them).
Then, we bought a new grill and I am going to assemble it and break it in this weekend. I also got grass to cut, replace a couple of GFI’s, and more.

Hoping the rain holds off this weekend so as to get the outside work done. I want to start sealing up the outside of the house to prepare for the coming winter.

Agreed, sleeping in on the weekends is the best. No alarms allowed =]

I still am shocked/disappointed that they did that, after you were under contract... unbelievable...but you see just about everything in real estate.
