Morning all. Hard a couple little rain storms yesterday to water the garden. It seems more and more that the rain is being held in the clouds until the last minute and then let go in a downpour instead of gently being released over a longer period. Things are changing, weather wise.

Went to the farmer's market on the weekend and picked up some great produce. They had huge zucchini on 3 for $1. So, guess what we've been eating for the past couple of days. I made two loaves of zucchini cheese bread, a large pan of zucchini lasagna, half a dozen zucchini fritters, and still have a half a one left. That will be sautéed with mushrooms later.

Plus stone fruits are now in season. Picked up some lovely peaches. Yum.

Thanks Martine!! I think she's still mad at us for making her go through all this! :( But she's not wearing a cone or a onesie anymore & she's not bothering the incision. I think she's doing pretty well. She seems a little depressed, but she's eating & drinking - she just rests a lot, which I guess is a good thing! xx :) Last night in the middle of the storm I looked over at her & she was sleeping with all 4 legs in the air again, so that's a good sign, she was comfy! :)

Jacob's wisdom teeth came out yesterday morning. He's in some pain, but he's doing good. I also had to take Elizabeth to traffic court for the accident she was in last month. She had to plead guilty, I had to pay the fine, and there will be no marks on her license.

Yesterday was an expensive day for me. Whew.

I'm so ready for summer to end. Our temps aren't that bad, low 80s, but the humidity is awful. Its been a very humid summer with lots of rain.
Our bear is still roaming around. Seems to be getting a little too comfortable around people.

Happy Pines Day MMC! Sam's Club has their first Christmas items trickling out. Amazing to see it 4 and a half months before the big day isn't it? That's why I love this time of year. And we still have the entire Bers ahead of us. With that bit of good news have a great day!

We had a strong storm pass through last night, the lightening was amazing. It’s hot & humid again and we’re expecting more storms. I don’t have too much planned. I’m going to take a ride to the pasta shop to get fresh raviolis. I already fried meatballs and have a pot of sauce simmering. I have to stop at the pet store as well. I’m going to tidy up the house and start laundry as soon as I finish my cup of coffee. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day. See you tonight!

Good Wednesday morning! I know I sound like a broken record but I am so over all of this humidity! You can't even just step outside without sweating buckets. I'm working the afternoon/evening shift so I ran some errands this morning and was drenched just walking to and from the store to the car. I also watched a Christmas episode of Outdaughtered this morning. It was so nice seeing all of the Christmas lights and decorations, really makes me long for the season even more. Hope everyone will enjoy a wonderful day!
 
Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day!! It's a dreary ol day here. We've had some spitty rain this morning, stormed last night. Nothing major but enough to make it dreary ... and make me want to nap! ;)

Not much up for today besides work. At some point this week I have got to find a white top for my hubby's family pictures. It seemed so far away & now it's THIS Saturday!! EEK!! I don't think anyone except my MIL & SIL are too thrilled about this! LOL!! We have to wear peach, white, gray, navy, or light blue. Of course I have nothing in those colors nice enough for family pics!! :confused:

Anyway, you all have a great day!!!
