Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good late Morning, friends~

Merry Friday Eve!!

So looking forward to the weekend. It may be time to start pulling out some Fall decorations! And throw in a few seasonal films!

A typical day here, work and some errands this afternoon.

It is very hot and humid! There was moisture on all of the windows at home and work earlier. Really looking forward to the early Fall temperatures, and sweatshirt/sweater weather. A few trees are starting to turn. Craziness.

My sister, Shannon, is taking Hailey into the vet today for retests. I am trying to remain positive, yet be realistic too. She still hasn't eaten, and that is definitely not good. If there hasn't been significant improvement, she will do right by her. Just so hard to think about. Please send them good thoughts and prayers.

We’ve had a massive heatwave over here for the last month. It finally came to an end today with a bucket load of rain. The cooler temperatures are a little reminder of Autumn & Winter to come. I’ve finished my work for the day so now it’s time to sit down and maybe have a listen to some Christmas Songs, maybe... I say that as I do like to hold out until after Halloween looking forward to contributing to this countdown in the run up to the big day. Have a great rest of your days guys!

It'll be many more weeks before we get any indication of cooler weather here, so I'm jealous. Enjoy your cooler weather!!
 
Good Thursday afternoon, Christmas friends!

It's super-duper hot and humid today, and I've spent most of the day in the plant for a customer tour. They really wanted to hang out in the plant, too LOL. We just got back from taking them for a huge lunch. They are on the road for home, and I'm at my desk, wishing I hadn't eaten so much. Whew.

Open house at Elizabeth's school tonight, then she starts school tomorrow as a high school senior. Jacob starts Fall Semester on Monday, as a second semester junior. They're growing up and away too fast!

The humidity, combined with the dust from street construction in the neighborhood, set off our smoke detector yesterday. Argh! I like summer---I love summer---but I'm about done with the levels of heat and humidity we've had this year.

NO plans for tomorrow night besides hanging at the lake! Saturday we have my hubby's family pics at 5pm which kind of blows the whole day!! Can't get ready until shortly before - Grrrrrr! (AND I hope my tops come in/fit otherwise I still have to shop! Ugh!) I wish it was at 11am - get up, get ready, git 'r done & then you still have the rest of the day! Ah well!
Sunday afternoon is my Goddaughters birthday party, which I'll have to leave early b/c I'm staying with Mom Sunday night. Poof, there went the weekend!

What are your plans for the weekend?

Oh gosh. This reminds me so much of when we had to continually re-test Gracie. So nerve wracking!!! I hope the news is all good! Praying for you all!!! (((Hugs))) & positive vibes!!!

Exciting to be thinking about pulling out fall decorations! I'll be looking forward to seeing your pics! :) I had "October Kiss" on at lunch.

You have me thinking - the humidity hasn't set off the smoke alarm in our hallway to the garage this year. If I'm remembering right, it kept going off - regardless of new batteries & we unhooked it. Time to get a new smoke alarm!!!
