Good Morning Thursday Friends! It's mini Friday in these parts! And our winter storm warning is now in effect. Final calls for our area is 25+ inches. That will be one of our top five snowstorms for here, easily.

Folks - we have finally entered into single digits on the way to the very first Jack O Lantern Day of 2026. That count has felt like it has taken forever, when we first posted this "new" thread that count stood at 91 DAYS. 91 Days ago we were standing on November 1st and firmly in the Halloween afterglow. And once we have JOL Day #1, that count will never be farther away than 31 days. That's a good feeling to have.

Still crawling towards the 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone, and don't forget that in 8 more days we will have reached the ONE QUARTER way to Halloween 2026.

I hope everyone has a great day!

25 inches?! I can't imagine that much snow. I don't even think I've ever seen that much snow except for maybe on TV. Realistically, I know that's probably not a lot compared to somewhere like Canada or Alaska, but it sounds like a lot given the relative lack of snow down here.

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope this finds you well on Thursday. I'm taking in today because this may be the nicest day we have for quite some time. Lots of sun and temperatures briefly rising into the 40s. After this we're heading downhill in many ways. Happy Halloween!

Happy Hump Day Halloween Friends!

Let me tell you, yesterday really felt like a Monday. I dislike going back to work sort of in the middle of the week, it makes everything feel crazy. We're probably going to be in the same situation next week, I figure we will at least be off Monday, quite possibly Tuesday as well because of the snow storm. It looks to be major here - 25-31 inches on Sunday, which would put it probably in the top 10, quite possibly top 5 storms of all time for our area here.

On our Halloween counts - we're getting ready to see SINGLE DIGITS on our Days to JOL Day count, and now you can see above that our Halfoween count has now joined the company of double digits!

There's buzz in the air about this snowstorm. I love how it feels. That buzz in the air honestly makes me get Big 3 vibes. The energy is very similar.

Have a great day!
Reading those snow totals makes me nervous, and I am glad you are able to be off and safe inside. I don't know how one even begins to dig/shovel/plow out of that much snow in such a short period of time.

I hope your Christmas morning makes it fun!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF!

Great looking counts this morning as we are closing in to just ONE WEEK from JOL Day #1, and of course we will see 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER on Sunday.

Snow totals are locked in to our area now and we are north of 2 feet. I haven't seen that much snow here in a decade, and even the 2016 snowstorm was only the 2nd or 3rd time in my life where it has snowed that much at once.

All of the buzz and excitement over that really makes it feel like a holiday weekend. The magic in the air you cannot deny.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Leaving work yesterday definitely had a holiday-like feel, it felt a little bit like the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I hope you are having a great day and are enjoying your preparations for your Christmas morning! Have you wrapped the gifts yet or is it a stocking situation?

Happy Milestone Eve! And Happy SNOWSTORM EVE!

Later this evening, the snow will begin here, and the heaviest snow will be overnight and in the morning. We're expecting to get north of TWO FEET here. It will be the largest snow for us in over a decade.

And once again we are at milestone eve - TOMORROW we will celebrate 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER!

How wonderful to imagine what it will be like to be in October again. The prime of OUR TIME here in this thread.

One week from today will be JOL DAY #1. I have been looking forward to this first one for months - but in the back of my mind of course because none of us, even Halloween fanatics, want to wish away Christmas Season.

I hope everyone that is in the path of the storm stays safe! Have a great day!

You stay safe too @SolidSnake84 ! I hope everyone here gets through it okay, we are only forecast to get 1-2" but will be below freezing for the foreseeable future, I have heard that the old adage "too cold to snow" is not true, but it does look like the moisture is going to stay south of me.

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. Got my laundry done and food shopping. I got to see my friend and his kids. Came home to clean up a bit and now having dinner. A little more cleaning and then relaxing tonight...and being home for most of the next 48 hours. Happy Halloween!

Happy Milestone Day, Halloween Friends!

I'm online today later than normal, everything is fine here, we just woke up early, celebrated Rudolph Day, which was an absolute smash hit, and enjoyed our "Christmas Breakfast". We have about 6 inches of snow on the ground now and we will finish up somewhere between 12 to 18 inches, just a few inches shy of the original prediction of 21 inches.

My concern now is making sure the power stays on, which so far so good, it looks like the storm is over by 6 pm and as of right now we aren't getting / supposed to get any freezing rain. Ordinarily today would be "Dark Arts Sunday", but Rudolph Day takes priority so I am considering moving that to next Sunday, February 1st! It feels good to be less than a week now until JOL Day #1. We will enter into a 50's count towards SPOOKY SPRING next Sunday!!

Stay safe everyone who is in the path of the storm!!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. We have heavy snow all day long. It looks like we have around 7 inches so far and it's going to snow all afternoon into the evening. It may mix a bit with ice too. Happy Halloween!

Watch out for that ice!
