Hi folks,

We're working a some changes, upgrades and new features for this board over the next two months. Besides a reorganization of our forums and topics -- plus a couple of new "skins" to choose from -- what are the changes you'd like most to see?

Jeff

I think it might be best to go with a forum you are already working with. It seems the focus has gone to the Christmas place, so why not work with them.

I didn't know until tonight that you had a whole 'nother Christmas chat site. I visited The Xmas Place. Recognized a lot of folks but I am fiercely loyal to this site. I like the Chat Room because it takes the one liner posts away from the main site. Seems like a waste of a post to just say, "LOL." You're doing a fine job here. During the off months, when traffic is slower, I'd like the snowflakes to return. If you could fit in a small radio that could stream Christmas music while we chatted and would be available only to those who had the capability to handle it, that would be ultra cool. Of course, I guess I could just keep a 2nd window open to take care of that. 8)

The black print when reading posts is hard to view on the green background. The white looks much better.

Shortening the number of boards (consolidating) might be good too.

I see black when it's been posted.

Everything in your previous post was black, except for in your sig where it says My Merry Christmas (which is the link).

I'm using Mozilla Firefox v 5.0

Well, I just downloaded Mozilla Firefox and sure enough, the text comes out black. I tried to find the settings that would change this but had no luck. Try going to Tools, Options, clicking on the Content icon and fiddling with the colors there. I managed to get the background to change to white and the text remains black so it is readable, but you might want to wear sunglasses. :-o 8) 8) 8)

The problem isn't with Mozilla but with the program.

Jeff - I changed the text colour in the forum style area but it didn't effect it in Mozilla or IE. I haven't had this issue with my other forums, so I'm thinking (guesssing) that it may be in the .css file. What is the main text colour in your style sheet?

It wasn't in the style sheet, it was in the template file under a very obscure setting that is only triggered when the default settings are not accessible. Weird, never seen anything like it. I changed it to white. I'll download Firefox (not my favorite browser) and check it out.

It's not working yet. Still seeing black. Can't believe you don't like Firefox. Thought I'd warn you that the beta IE 7 is looking much more like Firefox.

Yeah, I've been tinkering with it. Still can't figure out why it posts black. I'm hoping the new lighter template we're working on looks better in FF -- and I don't dislike FF, I just have to see the world more through IE because still more than 90% of visitors use it -- please be patient.
