It's been a while since I've been on so I thought I'd reintroduce myself. My name is La Toya but my screen name is Ladybugkisses. I'm born and raised in Maryland, USA and I'm a single mum of two girls ages 16 & 9. Growing up being the youngest of five siblings the holidays were always a joyous time of year in our home. Because of the huge age gap between me and my older siblings (the eldest being 19yrs older than I) I often found myself spoiled around Christmas time and that made me feel awkward. So for me Thanksgiving was my absolute favorite holiday because we focused on family and not so much the presents. As I grew older and learned more about the Christmas season as a whole I grew to enjoy it more and more.
Once I had children of my own I learned to focus on the meaning of the season instead of just one day and it has brought a certain special joy to my life that I've had the pleasure of passing on to my girls. I have kept many of the traditions my family has while adding a few of our very own to make the entire season one we look forward to every year.
I look forward to sharing the holiday season with you all and hopefully making a few new friends along the way!
