I have yet to find the perfect candy apple recipe. I've tried Martha Stewart's, I've bought the candy apple kit at the store, I've even bought them at Disneyland, but none of them were up to par. The Martha Stewart one had candy that was too thin. The candy apple kit at the grocery store did also. And the one at Disneyland had caramel underneath and I'm allergic.
The best candy apple I had was probably either at Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags, or as an off shoot Universal Studios. But I was little back then so I can't remember which park it was. All I remember is that the candy around the apple was red, thick, soft, and incredibly sweet. I've been looking for a recipe that is that awesome for a while, but I can't seem to find one.
Does anyone know any good candy apple recipes?
