Cutthroat Kitchen will get a Halloween-themed makeover as well.

Trick or treating takes on a new meaning this fall with the five-episode primetime event Cutthroat Kitchen: Tournament of Terror, beginning Wednesday, September 28th at 10pm ET/PT on Food Network.

Alton Brown presides over the no-holds-barred Halloween heats, with sixteen crafty chefs cooking their way through spooky sabotages for the chance to win up to $50,000. From a spider web-themed spider roll challenge to a liver and fava beans battle, the competitors must scare up their best dishes while braving witches, mummies, ghosts and zombies. The heats lead up to a final showdown between the four winners to determine the Tournament of Terror champion on Wednesday, October 26th at 10pm.

“Alton’s wicked sense of humor and diabolical sabotages are sure to get viewers into the Halloween spirit,” said Didi O’Hearn, Senior Vice President, Programming, Food Network & Cooking Channel. “Get ready for a devilishly good time, Cutthroat Kitchen-style!”

Cutthroat Kitchen: Tournament of Terror– Heat One Premieres Wednesday, September 28th at 10pm (all times ET/PT)
Heat one begins with a Hannibal Lechter-style liver and fava beans challenge, then the chefs must cook garlic chicken with scary movie blade fingers or knives. For the last round, a blood orange dessert has to be prepared with a séance board sabotage.

Cutthroat Kitchen: Tournament of Terror – Heat Two Premieres Wednesday, October 5th at 10pm (all times ET/PT)
In the second heat, the chefs must make deviled eggs while wearing monster costumes, followed by a spider web-themed spider roll challenge. Finally, one chef has to make a flambéed dessert in a twisted kitchen.

Cutthroat Kitchen: Tournament of Terror– Heat Three Premieres Wednesday, October 12th at 10pm
Round three kicks off with a frog’s leg challenge in a graveyard, then the chefs must make a witch’s stew while riding around on a witch’s broom. Finally, one chef has to make devil’s food cake with spooky tools.

Cutthroat Kitchen: Tournament of Terror– Heat Four Premieres Wednesday, October 19th at 10pm
In the fourth heat, the chefs have to cut their steak tartare with deadly weapons and dig up their Fra Diavolo ingredients in a graveyard. Then one chef has to make a pumpkin dessert inside a chamber filled with autumn leaves.

Cutthroat Kitchen: Tournament of Terror– Finale Premieres Wednesday, October 26th at 10pm
The four heat winners return for the tournament finale, which begins with the chefs shopping for Bloody Mary ingredients in a dark, haunted pantry. Then a bone-in dish must be prepared on a flaming organ, followed by a candy challenge on a possessed, spinning bed. The last chef standing is named winner of the Tournament of Terror.

‘Halloween Wars’ Season 6 Guest Stars Announced

Food Network’s sweet series Halloween Wars returns in October for a new season, this year with the creator Child’s Play as one of the judges, as well as a current Scream queen, the Mistress of the Dark, and the great Sid Haig himself dropping in for a bite.

Halloween Wars is back for a spooky sixth season filled with chilling new challenges, premiering on Sunday, October 2nd at 9pm ET/PT. Six teams composed of a pumpkin carving expert, cake artist and sugar artist will battle it out as they create Halloween-themed edible displays that are so ghostly good, it’s frightening!

In each episode, teams will face two grueling challenges. First, they’ll face off in the Small Scare, where they must create a Halloween-themed design in just 45 minutes. One winning team gets an advantage in the big battle – the Spine Chiller. In the end, their creations will be judged by renowned cake decorator Shinmin Li and writer/director of the iconic Halloween horror film Child’s Play, Don Mancini, and a rotating panel of celebrity guest judges who are legends in the horror genre, including Elvira, Mistress of the Dark¸ Sid Haig (Halloween), Greg Plotkin (Director ofParanormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension), Bitsie Tulloch(Grimm), and Carlson Young (Scream). One team will be eliminated after each episode. In the end, only one team will be declared Halloween Wars Champion by host Jonathan Bennett, and walk away with a $50,000 grand prize.

“Witches vs. Warlocks”
Halloween Wars returns, as six teams made up of an expert pumpkin carver, cake decorator, and sugar artist go to battle to create mind-blowing Halloween-themed displays, in hopes of winning the coveted title of Halloween Warschampion and a $50,000 grand prize. For the first challenge, the six go to battle to create displays that capture an epic and terrifying clash between witches and warlocks. In the end, one team will be eliminated. Special guest judge, Elvira, Mistress of the Dark joins host Jonathan Bennett and judges Shinmin Li and Don Mancini.

Premiering Sunday, October 9th at 9pm ET/PT
“Haunted Motel”
The five remaining teams made up of an expert pumpkin carver, cake decorator, and sugar artist compete to create mind-blowing and delicious Halloween-themed displays of the scariest haunted roadside motel ever seen. Judges Shinmin Li, Don Mancini and special guest judge, actor and horror icon Sid Haig from Rob Zombie’s House of 1,000 Corpses and Halloween, will help determine which team will be eliminated.

Premiering Sunday, October 16th at 9pm ET/PT
“Two Faced”
Four remaining teams made up of an expert pumpkin carver, cake decorator, and sugar artist go to battle to create mind-blowing Halloween-themed displays that capture the horror of a two-faced monster. Special guest judge actress Carlson Young from the television series Scream will help judges Shinmin Li and Don Mancini determine the teams that advance.

Premiering Sunday, October 23rd at 9pm ET/PT
“Mausoleum Mayhem”
The final three teams of expert pumpkin carvers, cake decorators, and sugar artists go to battle to create mind-blowing displays that capture the horror that unfolds inside of a crypt after dark. Three teams start this battle, but only two will earn their way into the Halloween Wars finale. The decision is made by judges Shinmin Li, Don Mancini and special guest judge Greg Plotkin the director of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.

Premiering Sunday, October 30th at 9pm ET/PT – SEASON FINALE!
“Demonic Wedding”
It’s the horrifying finale of Halloween Wars. The final two teams made up of a pumpkin carving expert, cake artist, and sugar artist go head-to-head one last time. Only the team that can best capture the scariest and most demonic wedding ever imagined will be crowned Halloween Wars champion, and win $50,000. Special guest judge actress Bitsie Tulloch from Grimm will join judges Shinmin Li and Don Mancini to determine who wins.
 
‘Halloween Baking Championship’ 2016 Season, ‘Kids’ Special Announced


Food Network continues to unveil a delicious Halloween lineup of that just keeps getting sweeter, with a new season of the spirited competition series Halloween Baking Championship set to return in October along with the premiere of thew new spinoff Kids Halloween Baking Championship.

Zombies, mummies and monsters galore get in on the action on the return of the spookiest baking competition on Food Network, where seven terrifyingly-talented bakers compete to create the most hauntingly delicious desserts on Halloween Baking Championship, premiering Monday, October 3rd at 9:00pm ET/PT. Throughout the five-week competition, comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham and his sidekick, Walter, challenge the bakers’ abilities to create creepy crawly confections for judgesDamiano Carrara, Carla Hall and Sandra Lee. Only one baker with the most impressive treats will win the title of Halloween Baking Champion and take home the grand prize of $25,000.

Each week on Halloween Baking Championship, the bakers face tough challenges from making bite-sized monster morsels, to wickedly-decadent desserts stuffed with trick-or-treat candies, as well as creepy clown cake-pops and goodies of ghostly graveyards. The last three bakers who impress the judges with their spellbinding sweets will face the ultimate challenge in the grand finale – baking, designing and decorating a haunted “gingerdead” house.

For even more scary sweets, on Wednesday, October 5th at 8pm ET/PT, Duff Goldman and Alison Sweeney host the first-ever Kids Halloween Baking Championship. On this hour-long special, four fan favorites from Kids Baking Championship are back to bake their way through two chilling challenges for the chance to win $10,000, and the title of Kids Halloween Baking Champion!
