Hi, I have a 2 year old and would like to know some good halloween activities to do with him. I can't really find anything other than trick or treating which i'm not sure if he will like. We have decided to put him in the stroller this year. But we are just looking for activities we can do to lead up to halloween if anyone has any ideas they would greatly be appreciated. Thank you.

We are taking my 20 month old son to a pumpkin patch on Saturday to pick his own pumpkin. Not sure how well its going to turn out haha but he loves pumpkins and I think he will have a good time running around like crazy and getting to pick one out! I also have made cookies with him and let him kind of help me decorate with fall/halloween sprinkles. He actually does an ok job for a 1 year old! Goodluck and let us know if you think of anything else..I would like some more ideas also!

The pumpkin patch is always a good lead up to halloween. Maybe making a scrawcrow with a funny face to set out on your front porch. You can print off halloween pages to color too. Go to your library and check out a couple of halloween books to read in the young childrens sections. Hopes this helps.

Coloring pumpkin coloring sheets. Trick or treating is fun ( of course). What I like to do with my 2 year old little brother is color with him. OH! If you print out a ghost coloring sheet you can help your child glue cotton onto the ghost. Then help your child to use glitter or whatever else you can find to decorate the ghost. It's always fun to use cotton balls.:ghost:

When my daughter was this age she attended preschool. They did various activities from Halloween/Pumpkin color sheets. They also used orange card stock that had been cut into a pumpkin shape and painted pasta shells orange and glued them to the shape. She also got to make a foam pumpkin with google eyes which she glued to it and made a fridge magnet. I would also suggest if you haven't already.. to check out www.orientaltrading.com They have tons of Holiday crafts for kids of all ages to do and their prices are reasonable too. I actually just got a Fall/Halloween catalog from them.

I love the cotton ball idea, but my son thinks cotton balls are cotton candy.

I still love the soft texture to them. LOL! Reminds me of Buddy the Elf whenever he goes to get his finger pricked and he thinks the cotton balls are marshmellows and he starts eating them.:D:)
