Hi all,

I'm Rob from Groton, MA. I'm normally a home haunter most of the year and while Halloween is my big holiday, I've always loved Christmas and decorating for it, though on a *much* smaller scale.

This year we decided we wanted to go beyond just the lighting the eaves and a few trees in the back yard. We have a largely unused hill out front and a pile of lights that we aren't otherwise using. And so begins our Christmas light adventure this year.

Given the amount of time and space I have dedicated to Halloween, I'll be cruising the forum here looking for ideas for things I can do:

a) mostly using the many strings of lights I already own
b) that can be stored in a minimal space.

And of course, acquire/apply any skills, techniques and technology that I can use for both holidays. I suspect my spare prop controllers may be easily "corruptible" for Christmas use. :)

Of course, being a guy who's used to building a sizable display for Halloween, I do realize there's only a few things I'll be able to reasonably accomplish in the next couple of weeks, given the timing and lack of planning. But I'll almost certainly be mining for more ideas for next year too!

Merry Christmas!
