So pleased I found this happy holiday place! Christmas year-round...is there anything better? cheesy

Each month on the 25th I announce how many more months until Christmas (this usually happens at my workplace)...the proclamation is met with nasty looks, sighs, laughs etc...cleary my co-workers just don't get it! I hope I'm amongst friends here who understand my love for everything Christmas!:tree:

Hello to you all!

Oh, hello! I'm so glad I got to welcome you first. :D See my signature and location. CT Christmas's rule!

:hello: Not to worry, most of us are considered Christmas Wackos where we work and live. Welcome, Mistletoe!

:)) Feel free to unpack your bags, hang your stocking and stick around to enjoy Christmas every single day. If life gets in the way, don't worry, we'll still be here chatting about the most wonderful time of the year.

Welcome, Mistletoe121! And Merry Christmas!

Funny you should mention the workplace countdown. I work in retail and this is somewhat of a monthly ritual in my group too. I have a manager who is a certified Christmas wacko (can't get her online though) who makes the call every 25th day of the month or who on every conference call knows exactly how many days are left. And you can HEAR the eyes rolling every time she does that.

The funny thing to me is that November and December are my favorite times of the year because they are the ONLY ones where I just get to take care of customers -- and that's very Christmasy.

Keep up your countdown!

Jeff

Welcome Mistletoe, I hope you feel at home here. Get a hot cup of cocoa, put up your feet and post, post, post. Christmas talk is always welcome here, we live and breath Christmas and what is Christmas without Mistletoe? Hee hee.
When we go into the woods to get our Christmas tree each year we also gather the mistletoe. I am from Oregon, in Douglas county, right smack dab in the middle of the Douglas fir Cristmas tree forest. This is Christmas tree central, we have Douglas fir, noble fir, silver fir, grand fir, spruce, ponderosa pine, and cedar to mention a few. From where I am sitting right now I can see many of these different trees on the mountains around my small town.

Welcome, welcome, welcome...... I'm so glad to meet you and hope you enjoy yourself and keep up the countdown.

Thanks so much!

Thank you all for the warm greetings! Looks like I can don my elf cap, pour some hot cocoa and stay awhile! cheesy

Best to you all! Glad to be here...see ya on the boards or during a snowball fight! :snowball:

Welcome Mistletoe121! Always great to see another memeber of our elite club find their way here...I'm the countdown man in my office too...But I actually STRIVE for the eye rolls...Not sure if I'm eccentric or just begging for attention, or both, but I love a good eye roll!

Again, welcome!!! I'm so glad to meet you!

Welcome Welcome Welcome. If you truly love Christmas this is the place to be. We are glad to have you here with us! :tree:

Jeff, you are all welcome to come and get your tree with us. The first Saturday in Dec we all pack a huge picnic lunch and head for the hills. The prettier trees are up high in the snow. We take all our snow toys and head out so dress warmly. We spend hours shaking snow off the trees and picking the perfect tree. Then when everyone finds their trees we shovel snow out of the way and make a good sized bonfire and have a hot dog roast and smother them in chili. We drink hot cocoa and get by the fire to get warm then its time for the big snowball fight, then after that we go tubing down some slopes. Then its back to the fire to get warm and more cocoa then before dark we start the trip home. Our trees usually are flocked pretty good when we get home but alas the flocking does melt and its pretty and green. We leave the trees out in the carport to get dry until Sunday. Sunday we get together and decorate the trees, again with the hot cocoa and big lunch, by the time we get through all the trees its dinner time and more hot cocoa or hot cider. mmmmmmmmm can't wait. Oh on the way home from getting the trees we keep an eye out for the mighty oak trees that produce the mistletoe, the trees are so big that we shoot the mistletoe down with rifles. Don't want anyone climbing the trees and getting hurt, would spoil a beautiful day.

Welcome Mistletoe121, great to see you here
