An early Merry Christmas from London, England all! I have just joined and am now checking out the many features of this great site. I am an author and school teacher (music specialist) and have just released a Christmas fantasy fiction novel set by Putney Bridge in London called 'George's Mysterious Christmas Pipe'. I am a big fan of the origins of Christmas and so decided to explore the idea of a modern youth fantasy fiction based on some of my curious findings. It is a full length novel, however I have also featured some fantasy illustrations by an amazing manga comic artist I became acquainted with whilst working in Japan, Akihiro Matsushima. I have also composed an original Christmas tune for the music box in the story, and have featured this in the back pages of the book. Now the novel is finished I am free to continue researching my greatest love, the history of Christmas! My father (also an author and librarian) is publishing a book on this very topic. He has been researching for this project for years and has been my biggest inspiration - the celebration of Christmas worldwide is an extremely interesting topic indeed!
