Hello,

My name is Kevin, and I just wanted to share my non-profit website http://www.blow-molded.com/ for all blow-molded Christmas decor with everyone here. Our site is for historical interests, collectors, enthusiasts, decorators.

Anyone who is interested in these decorations and their information, please visit us and pass the word on to anyone you know. We have information such as years manufactured, discontinued, prototypes, never manufactured items, downloadable instruction manuals, restoration articles, etc. We have it all and can answer pretty much any question anyone might have about their blow-molded figures.

I am a veteran member on Planet Christmas and maintain active threads there for Blow-Molded. They can be viewed here- http://forums.planetchristmas.com/index.php?/forum/6-blow-molds/

I realize this is supposed to be in the "Websites" section, but I cannot post there without a paid membership it says. As I stated before this is a non-profit website and I am sharing it to get us out there into the Christmas community as a free important beneficial resource available to decorators and collectors alike.

Merry Christmas!
Kevin

Hello and Welcome!!!!!

:celebrate: Hi there kevin P. Welcome to MMC! :!!

I am a fellow blowmold friend. I have developed quite a nice little collection of them for my front yard where it now takes up a lot of room in my garage, to my wife's displeasure; LOL.... I appreciate your link and will check it out.

Hi and welcome to MMC, Kevin P! :transform:

Thank you everyone, the welcomes are great! I look forward to spending some time on here.

They do take up a ton of room, but you have to love them. I have heard stories of many a wife who is displeased with their husband's collection.

Personally I don't have the wife problem yet, but eventually I am sure I will, hehe. Although whomever I end up with will know of my blow-mold addiction ahead of time, so I may not have the unhappiness issue come marriage time. Right now I have around 80 'molds. I know many who have 300 or more though, which is where I see my collection going someday.

Anyway, enjoy the site! If you or anyone else have any questions about anything there, please ask.

Hello and Welcome!

I love blow molds...especially the older ones. Only have one so far but trying to learn more about them before going nuts. I'm also a lurker on Planet Christmas.

It's hard to stop at just one, usually it leads to many. If you browse Blow-Molded I'm sure you'll find plenty more that were made that you want. :) Their biggest downside is the space they take up, I think that is probably why blow-ups became more popular. I'm hopeful though that the 'molds will make a general comeback. I am starting to see them more in regular stores again.

Kevin,

In my neighborhood, I don't see a lot of inflatables like before. A guy in the corner house on the street where I live got rid of all his inflatables. Inflatables tear easily. The Home Depot near my house has much less inflatables than before. Hardly anybody bought them. Similarly, in Walmart near where I live, the inflatables were still on the shelf. Inflatables are probably not as popular as they use to be. There popularity is probably going down Is that right? I think blow molds are becoming more popular now.
