XmasDreams---there are TWO recordings of "Monsters' Holiday"! One by Bobby "Boris" Pickett (correct?) and one by Lon Chaney, Jr. I like Chaney's better.

Ghostbusters
Purple people eater
The blob
Attack of the killer tomatoes
Adams family

I got a Halloween mix cd from the library :)

Is this archived somewhere we can hear it or will it be available again? would love to get a copy of it or listen to streamed again.

Not archived but I'll see if I can find that program, dust it off, and get it into rotation on K-Rad for October 2013!

I may even sneak it in before!

That is a terrific list from RadioJon!

I agree there are alot of songs that are not necessarily Halloween songs but can be interpreted as such.

I like to play

Bad Things by Jace Everett
Hotel California by The Eagles
Baby did a Bad Bad Thing by Chris Isaak
Thriller - Michael Jackson

I will post more when I remember.....goodluck compiling your list!

WOW!!! Thanks, RJD!

Halloween is probably second to Christmas for seasonal associated tunes.

I quit updating this thread due to lack of interest.

In 2008, I did a special Halloween edition of "Mistletoe Mix" on MCR. Did you know that there was a Christmas version of "Monster's Holiday"?

For the special Halloween edition, I chose cross tunes and dark Christmas tunes.

Loved The Move!!! A very young Roy!

I have a few that could be considered Halloween type songs:

"Night of Fear" -The Move
[youtube_browser]-V0BPvqj5Bw[/youtube_browser]

"Disturbance"-The Move

(after the 2 minute mark it gets almost frightening)

"Skeleton & the Roundabout"-Idle Race

'Mistletoe Mix' October 2008 (2013 Update) on Kringle Radio?

Okay children of the Ghoul/Yule; I located the October 2008 ‘Mistletoe Mix’, dusted it off with lighter fluid on a dirty threadbare dish rag, buffed it with a brillo pad, some gasoline and a wire brush and restored it to a semi sparkling, more dullish lackluster. It looks almost new except for two small rust spots from that orangey looking jello stuff which dripped from the tarnished copper bowl on the fireplace mantel onto the show the day after Halloween 2008.

Also, too, then, eh, the timing difference between Merry Christmas Radio & Kringle Radio actually resulted in a couple of bonus songs being tacked on to the end of the Halloween themed show with a rusty ten penny finishing nail and a greasy pall peen hammer. (We’ll pick up on that Bobby ‘Boris’ Pickett side that MerryCarey mentioned earlier!)

So, when would you like the show to be placed into rotation at K-Rad?

A- As soon as possible
B- October 1, 2013
C- October 15, 2013
D- Never

At some point I would like to host a listen and chat party at Christmas Chatter while the show airs on Kringle Radio, probably in mid October.

As soon as possible! Looks like a great lineup! And definitely keep me posted on the chat-while-listening!

"Mistletoe Mix" October 2008 (2013 Update) should hit rotation within the next hour or so from time of this post. I'm still new at this so bear with me!

Since it is added to the wide playlist, there is no set time for it to air (although it should start immediately after load). For now, it's our little secret until October arrives. To be a sport and not rush Halloween, I plan to announce the show in the K-Rad thread on October 1.

Hopefully we can pull off at least one listening party chat by mid month (or sooner if you wish).

I'll probably tune it in on the homeward commute ... looking forward to it!
Just realized, though, that it'll probably be done playing by the time I hit the road. But I'm hoping to run into it some morning or evening.

I love all the songs from Halloween 1 and 2 soundtrack. Halloween 2 seems a bit more menacing some the the piano version better in the first one. But the 2nd one when Nurse Alves is found dead on the gurney is still so spookey. Most of them can be found on you tube! I forgot all about DjJazzy Jeff I was in 7th or 8th grade when his song came out.lol and also the monster mash is a classic.
