It's not too far away now and it's a holiday i love.

on sunday 30th october i am taking my daughter to a theme park where she has to dress up in a halloween costume, actors are hired to walk around the theme park (in halloween costumes) giving candy out to the children. all the rides are open and they all have a spooky theme, scary music will be playing and once it goes dark the park is lit up with halloween lanterns. at the end of the evening they put on a firework display... i can't wait, i'm sure my daughter will love it!

on monday 31st october i think we are just having a halloween tea party in my cousin's house with her kids and then we will take them trick or treating.

anyone else got plans?

In my Christmas planning, the wife and i usually select a couple of nights so that we can watch scary movies and cook a nice meal. Just the two of us....kinda fun. We have already picked the two nights and the meal. Potato soup is one of them.....my favorite! I can hardly wait!

Love the 'ber months!

Ive booked the evening off work!!! We will probably just take the kids round our street, I was thinking of maybe having a halloween party, not sure yet!!!

amazon, here i come..... cheesy

I think it's just a teensy bit early for the Christmas flavours (hate to break it to you but not everybody is as nuts about the season as we are :-?) but not to fear, I am on the case and will report as soon as I have something to report!!!

Halloween aint celebrated as much over here as it is over there :-?

DD is dressing as Supergirl this year! I'll take a couple of hours off work to go to DD's Halloween party at school. We'll take DD to town for Halloween in the City. Businesses set up tables with treats on the sidewalk so kids can trick or treat in a safe environment. We'll have to watch Disney's Ichabod Crane before going to bed!

Our band is talking about putting together a gig in town for later that night. A friend of ours owns a restaurant that has a banquet-type room and a stage. I've known him for years, since he's been in bands, too. He's been playing in a christian rock group. Anyway, he want us all to get together and have a family-night jam in town. I love it!!

No real plans yet. On Saturday or Sunday we will carve our pumpkins and maybe make caramel apples. We go over my Mom's for pizza Halloween night... my best friend and her Family come over too. We take pics of the kids dressed up and then go trick or treating!

I always take the last 2 weeks of October off to go leaf peeping around North Carolina and Virginia. I always am home by the 30th though, and we have literally hundreds of trick or treators on my street, mostly from the local kids but also the kids that live out in the sticks come to our Neighborhood because we are the closest one to them I guess..so it is so much fun buying the bags of candy and setting things up in the house for the kids, watching scary movies all day then as it gets dark I always just stand in our doorway and hand out the candy for a few hours. It always falls around the Ga/FL football game so I always have my Gabulldog shirt on and always gets asked by the parents "who is winning the game" ahh I can't wait!

We'll be having our first Halloween party in years - a bunch of 14 year old girls, and I have been assigned the costume of an Eternal Bride. I do believe I will be a witch, regardless.

I'll be taking a little butterfly trick or treating as well. :hair:

Oh yes, we have plans! We're 'those nuts down the street' that go all out decorating the house and yard for Halloween. We have a cemetery in the yard, and ghosts in the windows, and skeletons, and all sorts of neat stuff. Our neighborhood is considered 'safe' for trick-or-treating, so we get all sorts of kids coming in from other neighborhoods. We get visits from four or five pickup trucks pulling big wagonloads of kids (wagons lit for Halloween, of course), plus all the walk-up kids from the area. We get 250-300 Trick-or-Treaters every Halloween, and we love it. If you haven't guessed, I'm one of those people whose parents took her for rides to 'see the decorations' when she was a kid. I always wanted to live in one of those houses that went all out decorating for the Holidays, and now I do!
