This is my first time posting so I guess I am introducing myself. My name is Pattie from Buffalo:cry: , land of snow. We certainly get our fair share, which is ok because we love snow. The Christmas holiday has always been my favorite time of year and since the passing of my dad 4 1/2 years ago it has become even more so. My husband, albeit a little reluctantly, and my kids and I love to start the season as early as possible. And we spread it out as long as we can. In fact with our oldest daughter and new grandson in Texas and the rest of our family in Pennsylvania we actually got to celebrate Christmas morning 3 times this year!!! What a joy!!:hello: Our children Danielle--20-married with new 2 month old grandson, Nicholas -- 16, Benjamin -- 12, and Sara -- 9 have always enjoyed the giving aspect of Christmas and we try to see who can out "give". Now that doesn't mean spending a lot of money. We do things for others all through the season. Our local clubs put up trees with childrens names on them that need gifts and our kids pick out a child who is the same age as them and buy a gift they think they would like. Just an example of how we "give". It is fun and exciting and there is just so much to do do do. Decorating, baking, caroling, crafting, visiting, wrapping, secrets and snow!! I look forward to meeting new friends who enjoy the holidays as much as we do. I love the count down meter on the home page. I begin telling people at work only XXX number of days until Christmas and I seriously think they want to throw me in the snow bank. Thanks for a place where I finally fit in!!
