Greetings from Virginia....yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus! I found this site a couple of days ago and have lurked reading. This is a great forum and it seems to be filled with really nice people. How wonderful to meet people that keep Christmas alive all year long. I am 49 years old, married and live on a farm in southeastern Virginia. My hubby and I live with 2 rescued doggies,-- a Westie and a Bichon, and a large and loud parrot. I have always loved Christmas and my best Christmases were spent on the farm here where my husband and I moved back to this year. I am really excited to be back home and decorating for Christmas again. I am like a kid in a candy store! I love to cook and to cook for the holidays is just a great experience. It was so hard to choose a username as there are so many things about the holidays that I love. Some of my best memories are gathering mistletoe in the woods with my Dad who has passed away now. So I chose Mistletoe. Kind of sentimental, kind of fun. So that is my story and I am glad to be here!

I visited Bluefield, Virginia three years ago Christmas and found it gorgeous! It had snowed right before I got there and then snowed off and on until the day I left. What a wonderful part of the country you live in!
