In the meantime i started to LOVE Weihnachtsmarkets in Nord Rhein Westfalen
It got much better, the music (more international) and more inspiring things with food and drinks and everything, beautiful decorations a festive feeling. I've been in Cologne & Duisburg and other places. The bigger cities those are the best ones imo.

Welcome to MMC! In what part of Germany do you live? Perhaps you are close enough to go to the Christmas markets of Strasbourg?

I'm So Sorry... To answer your question 11 years later : Never been is Strassburg France/Germany it's not really far away 5 hrs driving.
