Newbie to My Merry Christmas

Hello there
I'm very new to Forums and so being Christmas thought I would start here. I would love any and all help in navigating around the forums. (Don't laugh it took me 20 minutes just to work out how to get this post here).
I'm in Sydney Australia and today it's overcast and raining.
My husband and I are counting down to Christmas as we will be in New Zealand this year, very excited.
Not sure how to add the Smiles (???) or icons to my post or much else for that matter.
Look forward to hearing from you with your Christmas cheer, spirit and stories.
