Just wanted to let you all know that we're monitoring our site stability very closely today. Over the last 24 hours we have experienced record traffic.
Please understand that today our priority is to provide the Santa Updates for the kids. If the site stability is compromised, I will begin shutting down resource intensive areas of the site -- starting with these Merry Forums -- in order to serve the Santa tracking pages for those worldwide who want to see them.
So far, we have avoided having to take such steps. Many Christmas sites online are down, so we feel fortunate to still be here. But we're watching it closely and wanted to give you fair warning should you be unable to access the forums later today.
