I found this site while going through my post Christmas routine. Which includes doing some online browsing for gifts to put into my Christmas list app as well as searching for new Christmas apps to download for next season. This Christmas was one of the best at our home but was also bitter sweet. Our youngest son is a senior in high school and our oldest is a soph in college. Some of the traditions we've always had seem less important to them which is understandable but, that doesn't make it any easier. One tradition we have is putting up the outside lites before thanksgiving and the inside decorations after thanksgiving dinner. Our last tradition of the season is done on Jan 1. We go up into the attic and leave a note in the tree box with the number of days until we put up the tree again and the number of days, hours, minutes and seconds until next christmas we then take a pic of the note.

I recently read the post called January Christmas fan and I guess that's me. I hold on through January by reading Christmas blogs and beginning shopping for the next Christmas. But my interest drops as Feb. approaches. But begins to come back in spurts starting in about may. Shortly after my wife and I begin to pick up a few decorations at Hobby Lobby.

Once again I'm thankful for this site and other sentimental Christmas fans out there. I can't wait until Nov. 1

God Bless
