spooktacular

Spiders:

~ 1/4 C butter
~ 1 pkg. (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
~ 1 C butterscotch chips
~ 1/4 C creamy peanut butter
~ 4 C rice crispies cereal
~ Chow Mein noodles and red hot candies

Cover baking sheet with waxed paper. Combine butter, chocolate & butterscotch chips in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the chips are melted and the mix is well-blended. Remove from heat. Add the peanut butter and mix well. Add the cereal, and stir to coat.

Drop mixture by rounded teaspoonfuls onto baking sheet. Insert the chow mein noodles for legs, and add red hot candies for eyes

You want a spooky treat? Try a Steak N Shake Halloween shake. Not scary. Too expensive. Not even that good. :-?

I had a regular shake a few months ago that was pretty good, but it didn't compete with a 99¢ Frosty.

What is this of which you speak? Vanilla Frosty? (Wait while I consult Google...) Whoohoo! I have a new goal in life. OK, not a new goal, just a goal.

Pigeon Poop

Made with white chocolate, mini marshmallows and pretzels, this is a yummy snack for Halloween.

3 cups of Rice Krispies
2 cups of skinny pretzels/broken in half
2 lbs. of white chocolate
2 1/2 cups mini marshmallows
PREPARATION:
Mix all dry ingredients in large bowl. Melt white chocolate in double boiler or microwave oven. Pour melted chocolate over the dry ingredients and spread out on wax paper to cool. Break into chunks.

Recipe for pumpkin face sugar cookies:
1. Go to Walmart
2. Buy Pillsbury cookie roll with pumpkin face in it
3. Slice them
4. Cook them if you need to

Actually, this is a good idea from Pillsbury:

Crescent Mummy Dogs
1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls (8 count)
2 1/2 slices (2.5 oz) American cheese slices, quartered
10 large hot dogs
Cooking spray
Mustard or ketchup, if desired

1 . Heat oven to 375°F. Unroll dough; separate at perforations creating 4 rectangles; press perforations to seal. With knife or kitchen scissors, cut each rectangle lengthwise into 10 pieces, making a total of 40 pieces of dough. Slice cheese slices into quarters (1/2 slice cheese, cut in half).
2 . Wrap 4 pieces of dough around each hot dog and 1/4 slice of cheese to look like "bandages," stretching dough slightly to completely cover hot dog. About 1/2 inch from one end of each hot dog, separate "bandages" so hot dog shows through for "face." On ungreased large cookie sheet, place wrapped hot dogs (cheese side down); spray dough lightly with cooking spray.
3 . Bake 13 to 17 minutes or until dough is light golden brown and hot dogs are hot. With mustard, draw features on "face."

They make me smile just looking at them, sitting there all happy and unaware of their doom. Ha ha ha ha ha!

not sure I could eat them....looking at me and smiling and all. I'd have to turn out the lights.
