Rennabelle from Oregon

Hello, I live in southern Oregon, Douglas county. The Douglas Fir Christmas tree capital. I got locked out of my home(thexmasplace.com) and came here as an orphan. I see most of my Christmas family are here and I am very glad that they found their way here, also I know this is another home already for a bunch of us. I don't know what happened for Mike to shut us down but I do see an under construction sigh when I try to go there. Mike doesn't answer my emails.
I am a Gma to 4gsons and 1 gdaughter. I have 3 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws, 5 gkids, 3 dogs, oodles of goldfish and koi, 4 gdogs ,1 gcat, and 2 ghampsters. My youngest son is getting married in Sept. so will have another daughter-in-law and gdaughter, she is 7 and another gdog. My Dh's name is Steve, we have been married for 37 yrs and he hasn't been able to shake me yet.
My hobbies are gardening, crafts, sewing, fishing, camping, hunting, beachcombing and most of all CHRISTMAS. Can never get enough of Christmas.

Primchristmas, I am glad that you are here and thanks, I miss talking to everyone also. It is funny when we get shut down that way how we realize how much we miss everyone. I guess we always need to have a place to go if something like this happens. I have been shut out twice now, it isn't fun.

Thanks Jana, and welcome. We do have a lot in common. Those activities keep one busy busy busy. My favorite places to camp are at the beach and at Fish Lake. Fish Lake is a lake on a mountain and the only way to get there is to hike in. We used to take a inflatable boat in and spend the week. It is so peaceful there, we catch trout of all sizes and several types. I havent gotten to go in there for years and really miss it. We would take a bath/shower in a waterfall that was really cold as the snow was still on the mountain tops but it was worth it. It was easier than washing in the lake as that was all snow water and a little water was easier to take than a full bath. brrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Sounds like fun! We have bathed in the cold creeks before... I have to be clean even while camping... We now have a home at the lake so we do all our fishing and stuff here....

Thank you Auntie for the warm welcome here. But I think that you put it on a little thick and everyone is going to run the other way thinking that I am going to work them to death. You should have at least told them that the chores I will delegate to them would all be fun ones. After all isn't everything to do with Christmas, fun.
I think this year I am going to try a few new pies to go with the older recipes that I use. Don't know if I just won't make a couple types or just add them to my list of all the others. lol Little ole pie maker me.
