Do you guys get a lot of trick or treater's?

We live in a neighborhood with several kid's ,yet we really don't get that many for some reason.

It seems if we buy a lot of candy we only get a few treaters and vis versa.

Due to all of the bad in the world trick or treating isn't what it used to be . I remember when I was little and lived in Indiana we were allowed to go out on the 30th and 31st .My brother and I had a BIG grocery bag .We'd get it full ,go home ,dump it and go back out for more .Back then you could go to any and all houses and not have to worry. We had enough to last us until next Halloween.:pumpkin:

No, we lived in a trailer park and got maybe 2-3 neighbor kids and that was it! I was rather disappointed...

I love decorating for Halloween and passing out candy but I don't get many kids either...it really bums me out. Not sure why this is...I mean I live in a small community where everyone knows everyone so it's pretty safe. I plan to do it all over again this year and hope I get more kids..They also hold a "Spook Parade" here on Halloween where all the kids (3rd grade and under) gather at a specific location and trick or treat all the local businesses up and down our main street. It makes it nice for parents who don't want to take their little ones out at night because it's usually pretty cold here. The local Hospital also has a Halloween party directly after the parade and they have candy, games, hot dogs and drinks for everyone...so actually there is alot going on in this town for Halloween.

I too love to decorate for the fall/Halloween . I don't decorate with ghost's ,witches, etc, but rather scare crow's and thing's more towards fall ,rather than Halloween.

I love to see all the little ones in their cute costume's

We get a lot of trick or treaters here. We have a rule on the base that if you are passing out candy on Halloween you leave your porch light on and if you're not you keep it off. But generally everybody has there's on because of all the trick or treaters.

For such a small community we sure do..

Where we use to live 4 years ago, we got over 300 in one night!

For some strange reason we dont get any.Its a good street for it too.

We don't get too many here. But I'm always prepared just in case. The malls plan for trick-or-treaters and many go there instead of neighborhoods.

We live at the end of a street, and it is our first year here so I am assuming not many will show up. Not worried about it though, I will be out T-or-T with my daughter. :pumpkin:

I haven't spent an Halloween in my current house yet, so I couldnt say if we get many kids Trick or Treating here. We normally spend Halloween over my mother's house and she will get around 20 plus a night.
This year I am hosting the party, which Im really looking forward to doing!!

We live in a quiet neighborhood and we get TONS of kids on Halloween. I really think other kids come to our neighborhood to TOT and that's fine by us.

Well this is the first year for us living in our house :P I have seen a LOT of kids around the neighborhood so Ill let you all know in a couple of months ;)

We don't get many here but each year we have got more and more so to speak. We have a party for the kid's and then a adult one later, I love Halloween.

We live in the country, and have only had one trick or treater in 6 years!! I started throwing my own Halloween party when my DD was a baby!

One of my biggest disappointments about apartment life is that we simply don't get any trick-or-treaters...beyond my nephews.

I hope when we get a house, we'll have lines of kidlets coming to the door begging for chocolate! :boo:

The last couple of Halloweens have been unseasonably warm - great for trick or treating! We have gotten a couple of hundred kids each time. When it is cold and icy, the parents get cold and insist on calling it a night early! (The kids seem to be too excited to notice the cold on Halloween! What a great holiday! (I must admit that I don't like the scary parts, but plenty of people do!)

Sigh....

Yeah - i REALLY miss the way it was in the 70s and 80s.
My brother and all our friends would meet up and go until we dropped.
Bags and Bags of candy.

Was so much fun....

We are lucky if we get the 50 mark here for kids. Been as high as 70 and as low as 25. Depends on year and weather.

Always hopeful though.... i love to pass out the goodies!

We live in a small community as well... there is one neighborhood in town where everyone goes. We live in the country and so no one comes to our house - boo! I wish we had some trick - or- treaters myself...

We shall have trick-or-treaters this year! Even if I have to scare them all to the house.
