Poehler and Fey to Host SNL Christmas Show

Saturday Night Live is giving ardent fans a Christmas present this year: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will host the annual Christmas episode on December 19th. To top it off Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will join in the festivities.

Fey has returned to “SNL” to host solo three times since departing in 2006 and Poehler, who left in 2008, hosted for the first and only time in 2010.

Fey and Poehler hosted their third and final Golden Globes Awards earlier this year. Their new film, “Sisters” opens the weekend of their hosting gig and against the much anticipated revival of the “Star Wars” franchise, a topic that will likely be incorporated into their monologue or sketches.
