Neil Diamond Goes Acoustic in New Christmas Album
Neil Diamond has announced yet another Christmas album release to be titled Acoustic Christmas. The album drops on October 28th.
Neil Diamond, who is famously Jewish, has made a fortune producing Christmas albums in the later stages of his career. Rolling Stone notes with hope that this new album is a return to his acoustic roots claiming the album was recorded “with a handful of musicians, sitting around a circle of microphones, wires and, of course, Christmas lights.” We’re assuming they were all playing acoustic guitars.
Diamond is one of the most successful recording artists of all time having sold more than 100 million albums over the course of his long, long career. This will be his fifth Christmas album in a career that has now spanned more than 50 years. At age 75 Neil Diamond continues to pack theaters and concert venues and, apparently, still continues to sell millions of new albums.
