GENTRI is an all male group making an impact all over these days. Their group name means “The Gentlemen Trio” — three tenors, matched vocally and arranged spectacularly. In this Christmas offering they do a mash up of What Child is This with I Wonder as I Wander. Give them a listen: These guys are […]
This video comes from songwriter Shawna Edwards and is performed by David Osmond, who rose to some fame several years ago on a television singing talent show and has since gone on to record some incredible work. A free download of this song is available at http://www.thestarstillshines.org/.
I have been on a mission over the course of several Christmas seasons to find a Biblically correct Nativity scene. Like others who celebrate the religious elements of Christmas I am fond of the Nativity story and want it to share space with my Christmas tree, my Christmas lights and other decorations of the season. We so greatly enjoy the young, fresh talents that are out there. Here’s a video of a young guitar player with some serious skills named Gabriella Quevedo performing Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town:
Here’s a fun video that is actually getting a little criticism online because the music appears to be dubbed over the action. But is that the point? YouTube star Peter Hollens, who is famous for singing with himself in amazing harmonies, does his oft-requested version of Mary Did You Know? in this new video out today. Mary Did You Know? is an amazing piece of Christmas music. It is totally contemporary, the lyrics to it being written in 1984 by Mark Lowry, […]

They pierce the heart and make lasting impressions on the mind. Of all the great songs of Christmas few are as worshipful and heartfelt as Silent Night. Originally written for guitar, Silent […]
As the days steadily march towards Christmas weathermen and prognosticators take center stage to predict — or not — a “white Christmas”. In Ohio they are saying the 2nd half of December will be too warm for much of a chance of snow on the ground come Christmas Day. In Detroit they are saying there […]
