Grumpy Cat Does Christmas
Looks like Ebenezer Scrooge and the Grinch aren’t the only mean mugs you’ll be seeing this coming holiday season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Phoenix-based Internet sensation Grumpy Cat, a.k.a. Tardar Suace, is finally getting her lifetime achievement award: a Lifetime movie.
The made-for-TV- movie, entitled Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever, will be a live-action film written by Tim Hill (SpongeBob SquarePants) and Jeff Morris. Set to shoot this summer, Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever will tell the tale of a neglected pet store cat (Tardar Sauce) and the 12 year-old girl who can talk to her.
In regards to Grumpy Cat’s failed movie deal with Broken Road Productions, Grumpy Cat’s manager told The Hollywood Reporter that Lifetime is “the perfect venue for her.”
Lifetime is currently looking for a voice over actor to play Grumpy Cat and revealed that other internet memes will make appearances in the film as well. For more updates on Grumpy Cat’s latest ventures, visit grumpycats.com.
