Mariah Carey Turns Song into a Christmas Book

Nobody was much surprised when Mariah Carey announced she was resurrecting her Christmas hit from 1994, All I Want for Christmas is You, for this holiday season. And nobody was much surprised to hear she wanted to star and direct in a television movie based on the song either. But everyone is a bit surprised she wants to add “author” to her resume based on the song. Carey recently told People she would release a children’s book based on the song as well.

“When I wrote ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ it was my dream for it become a classic Christmas song.” Carey said. “I am so proud of the song’s impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year. I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families with the picture book.”

The book tells the story about a little girl whose wish for Christmas is a new puppy, using the lyrics of Carey’s popular 1994 Christmas song.
