Grinch Coming to Gaylord Opryland Country Christmas

The Grinch’s heart might be two sizes too small, but Gaylord Opryland Resort is welcoming him with open arms for its annual Christmas festivities.

“Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical” will be a part of the resort’s “A Country Christmas,” from Nov. 20 through Dec. 27. The resort’s general manager, Pete Weien, announced the new Grand Ole Opry House show Wednesday alongside the infamous green man himself.

“It’s an outstanding show. We’ve had the opportunity to see the show in New York City on Broadway and it’s just a show that is exciting,” Weien said. “It’s got a great message, outstanding characters and it’s a fun show for families and kids of all ages.”

The musical replaces the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, which featured the iconic Rockettes. After 13 years, the spectacular ended its run at Opryland with the 2014 season.
