Christmas Countdown - 2018

[Holiday]

My lunch break pretty much stunk...

I went home to see Harlowe, which was wonderful.

I heard a loud noise at home, and thought someone had tried to get in storm door but it was locked. I looked and couldn't see anyone. Then I wondered if the noise came from garage, maybe something hit it?

And when I was trying to leave, the garage door wouldn't open very far. It was jammed up. And it was hot in there! 90 degrees outside...I was trying to manually get it open so I could get my car out, but it wouldn't budge. Adrian was gone. So I texted work to say I was temporarily stuck. Eventually Adi came home, and he was trying to get it open, to no avail. Then the poor guy jammed his thumb in it. Yikes...it's a Monday!!
We tried a few different things until we heard something again and realized that the spring had busted. So, I had to take Adi's truck back to work. Garage door company can't come until tomorrow late afternoon. And it's going to be at least $250.00.

Oh shoot! I just saw this, this morning! I'm glad to hear they were coming yesterday. Did it get fixed? We had that happen one time too! Pita!! I hope Adi's finger is ok & your garage door is back in working order. Have a great day Stacey!

The game is canceled tonight and it has been pouring all afternoon. I am looking forward to a relaxing night at home.

Ouch! Plantar fasciitis is MUCH worse than what I have. Are you able to get any relief? I had a heel spur a loooong time ago and I remember struggling to walk after any period of time off my feet, especially in the mornings. Foot pain is no laughing matter for sure.

It is very painful!! I've had it once before = no fun!!! Sometimes it's worse than others. Like you said, after sitting for awhile it hurts, after standing too long, it hurts & flip flops are a no, no right now! (and probably the cause...) I just took some ibupro & I also have some cream to put on it. Hopefully it goes away quick. Our friend was just over on Sunday & she said her's lasted 6 months. UGH!!!

Morning MMC. Our never ending humidity continues. We have more rain forecast today. At least this may help the color of the Autumn leaves. That's definitely something to look forward to. I read we may see some good color this year. That would be nice. Have a great day today!

We have had so many dry summers, we've been gipped of really pretty fall leaves the last few years!! We have heavy rain forecasted for Thursday.

Good Morning, Holiday Hopers.

And where there's the count, there is always hope of reaching that long-awaited and much-coveted destination.

Today's numbers continue this hope, and we present them with pride:
Days to the Season: 91
Days to Christmas Day: 133

But there is excitement crackling in the air today, for this is a MILESTONE DAY, Folks.
We have arrived at the 3/4 point to the Season!!
Now, it just does not seem feasible that we are already entering the fourth and FINAL quarter of our long journey already.
I had better check the chart twice.
Hmmm.....
It appears to be true, alright.
W-O-W!!

More rain, yesterday. Heavy at times. Clear in the afternoon.
Today is supposed to be drier, but I'll believe it when I see it.
We again starting out damp and overcast this morning, at 70 degrees here in the capital city.

Oh I am so tired of the rain here! The trails and parks are all flooded so there's no point even trying to go for a hike without getting all muddy! Is the beautiful fall weather almost here yet??? When does it start getting cold for y'all? Here in FL we start getting in the 70's around the end of October/ early November.

Just popping in quick to say hello. I’m not feeling well this morning, I’m trying to fight off a migraine. I had errands to run & chores to do but they’ll have to wait. I’m hoping it passes soon, we have plans to go to my parents house tonight. My fathers sister drove up from Virginia to visit and my parents are having a get together later this evening. I’d hate to miss it.

We ate at Cracker Barrel last night for dinner. We saw all of the fall displays. DH said to DD, "Mommy's favorite time of the year is almost here--Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas!" Being a couple for 29 years and married almost 25, he does know me very well.

When does it start getting cold for y'all? Here in FL we start getting in the 70's around the end of October/ early November.

Usually in about September we start seeing some cooler temps. First frost is usually in October. It's different every year - some Septembers are steamy & some are cool by Labor Day already! Sometimes the 1st frost is early October & sometimes it's late October. O-H-I-O!

I have had it too and I know my flip flops were the cause too. The only ones I can wear now are Tevas because they have an arch and I still can't wear them all the time...I have to put on sneakers.

Thanks! Yep, I have some sketchers that have an arch & also some crocks with an arch. But I think I was over-wearing them!! I hope you never get it again!! It comes on so fast!
