Good Weekend Eve Morning, Fellow Voyagers!

Yep. Sure as the sun rises, we have cycled around to yet another weekend threshold.

And what do we see on the other side besides Saturday and Sunday?
Well.......this:
Days to the Season: 88
Days to Christmas Day: 130

We also see another amazing sight.
There, just EIGHT days away, is the 2/3 marker to Christmas Day 2018!

Another dry day yesterday allowed me to get some more needed yard work completed. I still have a bit more to go, and today will hopefully provide one last good opportunity before the chances of precipitation climb again for tonight and the weekend.
Right now, we are at 76 degrees here in the capital city.

Hi y'all,
Today was a pretty OK day.. still super hot out in the 90's and to boot our upstairs AC broke!! We have a guy coming out tomorrow hopefully to fix it.... these things always happen at the worst times lol! The snow dog and I went for a run this morning, I'm training for a marathon but he can't run very far (he's a lazy bum!) so I just take him on my short runs. When he came home he took a cat nap LOL! Hope y'all all have a great evening! Loved reading all the stories today!

It’s almost Friday; YEA!!!!

Happy Friday wishes to each and everyone in about 40 minutes. I’ve been super, duper busy, busy, busy lately and I haven’t had a chance at all to really jump online here and socialize any. Its great that after this coming weekend, the following weekend will be the 1st of September. How about that, we are so, so close to the Ber’s now.

We were trying to adopt a new kitten, for almost a month, the adoption process, so long, and we waited and waited to hear something, and we finally did. but sadly, we didn’t get her. It broke both of our hearts with that news. So, we will continue to try and hopefully soon we will have another female kitten.

I’m hoping to get a chance and get back here tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the kitty....my neighbor a few houses down for me does rescue with kittens/cats. I can find out if she has any and put you in touch with her..let me know!

Merry Friday!! TGIF!!

A typical day of work ahead, and errands that I didn’t get done yesterday.
Tonight will be be our traditional Pizza & movie/Netflix after our evening walk!

What are your weekend plans?

Tomorrow is my cousin’s baby shower, and hanging out with family afterwards.

Sunday I will catch up on laundry and hopefully get a little decorating in. We will see what time allows.

Is there a neighbor dog that she's buddies with, that you could have over for a play date? Maybe that would tire her out!

Most of her dog buddies are at the lake. She gets PLENTY of exercise there. Every night she wants to go there...I don't think she realizes, her friends aren't there through the week. LOL!!!

Good heavens, it sounds as though adopting a kitten is becoming as bureaucratic as adopting a child ... but the good news is that they are apparently being careful about making sure the prospective "parents" will be the right fit for the little feline. Good luck in your search for another adoptee. It may be that there's a kitten out there who especially needs you, and that's why you didn't get the first kitten.

Enjoying a quiet evening at home, everyone else went shopping.
Still working on my canning and other items to enter in our fall fair next month.
Rain today has put a damper on our summer music festival, but eveyone comes anyway with umbrellas to enjoy the fun !
Already Friday tomorrow !

The surgery did not calm Rocky down either, not sure if that makes you feel better!

LOL - I don't think it calmed Gracie down either! But that does make me feel better! She was actually a good girl overnight last night ~ as far as I could tell!!!

So sorry to hear you didn't get the kitty. Hopefully another sweet baby comes along soon!! It can be so hard to adopt through a rescue. Our friends had one heck of a time trying to adopt a dog b/c they both work...even though she goes home for lunch every day! Really???

Another hot and humid day here, we’re expecting storms to pass through tonight. Not too much going on here, I’m just working on a menu plan and grocery list. I’m going to make a Target run today and stop at the butcher afterward. Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house. I’m taking a break from cooking tonight and we’re going to order Chinese Food. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!!!

I'm sorry you didn't get the kitten!!! These rescue organizations are crazy now a days... some won't adopt out to you if you've never even had a cat or a dog before (how are you supposed to get one then!?), they want vet references, they won't adopt out to you a dog if you have a small yard, etc.. it is ridiculous! We tried rescuing a puppy and we were denied because at the time we were living in an apartment (super dog friendly, the apartment even had a dog park and hiking trails near by!) even though we were moving into a house in a month LOL! We ended up just going to a breeder to get our puppy... not sure that is really what the rescues want is it? Oh well!

Today I'm stuck waiting around in the house from 11-3 for the AC repair guy. Luckily it is just the upstairs AC so the downstairs is nice and cool! Feeling in the holiday spirit today with only a few more days until we are in the BERS!!!! I'm going to make some chocolate chip cookies while I wait around
