Christmas Countdown - 2018

Hi y'all,
Today was a pretty OK day.. still super hot out in the 90's and to boot our upstairs AC broke!! We have a guy coming out tomorrow hopefully to fix it.... these things always happen at the worst times lol! The snow dog and I went for a run this morning, I'm training for a marathon but he can't run very far (he's a lazy bum!) so I just take him on my short runs. When he came home he took a cat nap LOL! Hope y'all all have a great evening! Loved reading all the stories today!

good evening all !
Enjoying a quiet evening at home, everyone else went shopping.
Still working on my canning and other items to enter in our fall fair next month.
Rain today has put a damper on our summer music festival, but eveyone comes anyway with umbrellas to enjoy the fun !
Already Friday tomorrow !

Well...when I woke up this morning I saw that she was up to her shenanigans again overnight - in the middle of our TV room floor I found - one of Jims flip flops chewed up, both of his shoes laying in the middle of the floor, (undamaged) a coolie cup, & she had been chewing on her bed! She must sleep too much through the day!!! LOL!!!! But she was comfortably sleeping on our couch this AM! Little stink pot!!! Where is this coming from???

She has been something else since she healed from her surgery!! LOL!! Isn't that supposed to help calm them down???? HA!!!

Oh my goodness what has gotten in to her? lol
The surgery did not calm Rocky down either, not sure if that makes you feel better!

Happy Friday Eve, friends!!

It's another sticky day here, with a mix of sun and clouds. Rain later this afternoon/evening. I can't wait for this humidity to get lost
I am looking forward to opening the windows up and turning the air off.

It's Adi's and my 10th wedding anniversary today!!
Time sure flies when you're having fun~ We plan to celebrate more with a nice dinner out soon.

Work, errands, and a small celebratory dinner at home tonight. Our neighbor friends dropped off some bubbly, so maybe we'll crack that open.

Harlowe is ready for some cooler weather, too. She loves sitting on the deck in the evenings, but can only tolerate it for so long right now.

Happy Friday Eve!!
I didn't get a chance to log on yesterday, I had to take my Dad for hernia surgery. He had to be there for 11:30 but he didn't get into surgery until 2:30. So by the time I got him home and went to CVS for his pain meds, I didn't get home until almost 8. I spoke with him this morning and he is said he is doing well and not in too much pain.
Work for me today and then catching up on laundry tonight.

It’s almost Friday; YEA!!!!

Happy Friday wishes to each and everyone in about 40 minutes. I’ve been super, duper busy, busy, busy lately and I haven’t had a chance at all to really jump online here and socialize any. Its great that after this coming weekend, the following weekend will be the 1st of September. How about that, we are so, so close to the Ber’s now.

We were trying to adopt a new kitten, for almost a month, the adoption process, so long, and we waited and waited to hear something, and we finally did. but sadly, we didn’t get her. It broke both of our hearts with that news. So, we will continue to try and hopefully soon we will have another female kitten.

I’m hoping to get a chance and get back here tomorrow.

Happy Friday MMC! Glad it's Friday for sure. Finally feel like I've caught my breath at work the last few days. It feels good to still be busy enough but not be completely overwhelmed drowning in work. Looking forward to a late-summer weekend. Enjoy your TGIF!

Merry Friday!! TGIF!!

A typical day of work ahead, and errands that I didn’t get done yesterday.
Tonight will be be our traditional Pizza & movie/Netflix after our evening walk!

What are your weekend plans?

Tomorrow is my cousin’s baby shower, and hanging out with family afterwards.

Sunday I will catch up on laundry and hopefully get a little decorating in. We will see what time allows.

The kitty's name is Autumn, her calico fur reminds me of the changing leaves! She's a sweet girl and loves to cuddle.. she keeps snow dog in his place though lol!

Another hot and humid day here, we’re expecting storms to pass through tonight. Not too much going on here, I’m just working on a menu plan and grocery list. I’m going to make a Target run today and stop at the butcher afterward. Other than that I will be working on some chores around the house. I’m taking a break from cooking tonight and we’re going to order Chinese Food. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone has a nice day and a wonderful weekend ahead!!!

Another dry day yesterday allowed me to get some more needed yard work completed. I still have a bit more to go, and today will hopefully provide one last good opportunity before the chances of precipitation climb again for tonight and the weekend.
Right now, we are at 76 degrees here in the capital city.
