Good morning MMC!! Merry Tuesday!! It was nice to have yesterday off work! It just goes so darn fast!

Not much up for today besides work & grocery. I have a couple loads of laundry on the line to fold, but that's about it! It's going to be a hot one - again!

Here is Lucy's latest grooming pic! Fall must be coming...

Everyone, have a great day!!!
Good Morning, friend!
Stay cool today!!
Glad you enjoyed your extra time off :)
I love, love, love that pic! So sweet!
Thinking of you <3
Have a wonderful day~

Good Tuesday morning! We'll have a couple of unbearable, sticky, humid days still. It's already 35°C/95°F with the humidex. I keep hoping for a long-term cool down but then the humidity goes right back up. I'm buying ice cream today for sure and will try to stay cool. I have the day off but as always there's tons of things to do. I worked 12 hours yesterday trying to get things done. I expect the remaining 3 days this week before my vacation will all be 12-hour days or more. Hope everyone will have a nice day today!
Happy Tuesday, Martine!
Enjoy your day off, and ice cream too~
Have a great day!

Thank you, snowflake!

Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to make it Lambeau this year. I am going to Cornwall for Christmas, so I won't even really be around... unless I make an impromptu trip in November, which is somewhat possible.

Kim and I are considering flying to Chicago for the Packers at Bears games on December 16th. It's a super cheap flight from Ottawa and ticket prices aren't too bad.

My dad and brother have season tickets this year for the first time ever! You can bet they'll be attending at least 7 of the 8 regular season games for the next 30 years!

How about you?
You're welcome, brent!

How nice that you have some merry plans for Christmas~

Now that would be a fun game to be at!! Hope it works out!
Adrian and I enjoy those rivalry games ;)

How AWESOME for your Dad and brother!! Congrats to them!!

I don't think we will make it this year, unless something comes up unexpectedly. Excited for the season, though!

Good Saturday morning! The humidity is back :( I'll be working all weekend and I'm counting down the days till my vacation starting on the 1st of September. I can feel that I'm not as productive because I'm so tired. Hope everyone will have a great weekend ahead!
I'm jealous of your upcoming vacation! ;) I hope you enjoy to the fullest!!!

Happy Saturday! Going to be a beautiful day..my oldest has soccer tryouts at 1-3:30. I am catching up on laundry today. Hope you all have a great day!
I hope the tryouts went well!! xx

We are also winding down on our summer music festival. This year they had a display called the Museum of the Moon. The moon has actual pictures taken by Nassau of its surface.

Hope you all have a great weekend !!
Beautiful pics!!

********** MILESTONE DAY ********

Good Morning, Good Morning, Fellow Milestoners!

Yes indeedarino, Friends. Another Milestone has arrived, and right on schedule.
We will discuss it and its implications once we review the daily data briefing:
Days to the Season: 80
Days to Christmas Day: 122

What we have arrived at is the transition point between the second and final THIRD of our Christmas Day count.
That fact, coupled with the fact that our Season count is in the final quarter and that we are only a week away from the start of the 'bers, means that things are just about to move into high gear as the holiday season looms.
Already, Halloween Zone has started moving into Crabtree and Hallmark has had their Christmas merchandise out for some time now. Any day, Belks should start assembling their Christmas section, the Blossom thread opens in about a month, and about 6 weeks from now, Crabtree will start putting up their main mall decorations.
(Yep, Guys. It's getting toward that special time of the year once again!)

Another pleasant day here yesterday, with still the lower temps and humidity.
No rain to spoil thing, either.
Today will see the temperature up slightly, into the mid 80's, with still only a 10 percent chance of rain.
This weekend has opened here in central NC sunny, at 65 degrees.

Have a Sensational Saturday, Everyone!
Such exciting times ahead. So hard to believe we are getting SO close!!!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I've been a member here for a while, but rarely post. I've been in the spirit lately (although to be honest, it never leaves me) so I thought I would check in! Hope everyone is hanging in there in this heat! It's 35 here in Ottawa (95f) :(

Pumpkin Spice Latte is back today at Starbucks and I desperately want one.. but it is far too hot.

Good morning, everyone!

It's a hot one. We're already nearing 100F with humidex. I had planned to go for a running workout early this morning, but I couldn't get out of bed. I think I will have to wait until the sun goes down this evening. There will likely still be humidity, but at least there won't be a boiling hot sun.

Thus far, I have a teaching interview today at 3:30, tomorrow at 10:30 am, and then on Friday morning at 10:30. Hopefully, more interviews arise in the near future, too! It's a busy week. I will be starting my sixth year of teaching, so it's about time I started receiving more offers to have my own classroom for an entire semester! ...and to teach English rather than Math.

Other than my interview, I believe Kim and I will be going to the grocery store as well... she's been off for the past two weeks, too, which has been quite nice around the house.

It's great to see the Countdown to Christmas Day nearing in on single digits. As well, we're now closer to two months than three months from the Christmas Season. The times keep moving so fast!

Have a great Tuesday, everyone!!

Stay cool and I hope the interviews go well!!!

Nice to see you on the countdown~
Stay cool today!
I'm craving a pumpkin spice latte, too. May have to be an iced one for a bit!

Good Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

Staff meeting is over, now I have to get a few things done before I leave for a funeral. It's church-family, and they've been close friends for years.

We had started a plan to have dinner with Jacob in the city he lives in once a week on Thursday, to make sure we stay in touch. He told us that was a great idea!...just not this week. He's too busy with his 3 month dating anniversary with is girlfriend. He'll get back to us on it. LOL

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Praying for you and your friends family.

Have fun sewing today!!! I have tried so many times to make buttermilk biscuits... do you have a good recipe? Or what is your secret lol!? Beautiful pictures! When I was a kid we used to grow giant sunflowers and then dry and eat the seeds, brings back good memories! That moon thing is too cool.

So far it has been a pretty good weekend! On Friday I took Gandalf for a walk with one of my good friends and her dog Percy, they had a blast! Gandalf has to go to the vet on Monday though for a reoccurring issue (he has been such a sick pup his entire life), hoping we don't get any more bad news... After that I went with my mom to the local running shop and picked up some new shoes and ran 7 miles in them this morning. They feel soooo much better than my old running shoes! No more blisters and knee pain yay! Hubby and I got a lot of work done around the house and yard this morning since my grandma is coming in this weekend. Feels so good to get all your work done early on in the day and then just relax....... Think I will eat a big bear claw topped with powdered sugar tonight for dessert!
I hope Gandalf's appointment went well!! Prayers for him!! xx
Such cute pictures!!!

Morning all and a happy Sunday! Plans for the day include drinking coffee. That's basically far as I've got. We'll probably take Jonah to an indoor play park for a while as it's a wet one. Have a fun and relaxing day everyone.
Hope you had a great time at the indoor park!! Merry Tuesday!

100 days is coming! I'm going to get out my little keepsake ornament that does the countdown and put some batteries in it. I keep it on my desk at work...but it needs some batteries and ol' Santa needs to get ready to go!

We didn't go out this weekend, but a local store has so much Halloween candy out! Amazing...

This week, we walk head-first in the the Bers....

We are back, my friends. We. Are. Back.
I couldn't believe it when I got home from the lake yesterday & changed my countdown board to 120 days!!!
Hope you're having a great day!

Good Sunday evening everyone! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Today was the annual Fantasy Football Draft with my family. It is something I look forward to every year! I think this is our 15th year? Somewhere around there. We had some great food (this years menu was pepperoni pizza and white pizza with grilled chicken, fried chicken, cookies, chips, scarecrow crunch, which is a mixture of many different fall themed snacks in little bags, and a dessert that is a MUST for every draft, it is originally called snack mix squares but one year it was really humid and it didn't set up properly so someone called it "moisty" and the name moisty mix just stuck! Every draft day the first question asked is "did you make the moisty mix?" One of our traditions now!). I just love the friendly trash talking we all do each draft day. But most importantly, I love seeing all of my nephews. We have such a great time with them! Here's hoping I actually win more than one or two games this year!!:)
Sounds like a great day of family fun!! :)

Good morning everyone!

We just had a wicked thunderstorm! It’s going to be hot and humid here in Ontario. I’m heading up north with my sister for a couple of days. I think we’ll be getting a lot of rain, oh well. Any time away with my sister is “good” time away!

Enjoy your day!
I hope you & your sister have a wonderful & fun visit! ♥

Back to work today after a nice long Bank Holiday weekend in Scarborough :-(

The sad face is for the back to work - not the long weekend...that was greeeeat! Football training with my football team (I Coach), Drinks and a meal for Myself and Mrs TSAH on Saturday evening, relaxing day Sunday, and finally Ten Pin Bowling and a family meal out on Monday afternoon :-)

Is it Friday yet?

Good afternoon, everyone!

I'm glad we're all so excited for the 'Bers. I'm excited to experience that first breath of autumn crispness to go along with the beautiful assortment of greens, reds, oranges, and yellows the trees provide throughout the season. It's going to be another wonderful time. In fact, there are already a few early-starting trees in Ottawa right now.

Usually, my excitement for the 'Bers coincides with my desire to return to the classroom. For once, I don't think I'm quite ready to go back to teaching just yet. I've greatly enjoyed these past four weeks and wish I could have another four.

If I were returning to supply teaching, I could ease myself back into the school months, but it appears that I will likely have a full-time position for the entire semester somewhere... I just don't know where quite yet. I had an interview today, I have another tomorrow, and at least one more on Friday. It's going to be a very busy week!

We'll see how it all goes. Anyway, I hope the final days of August treat everyone well. Then, of course, we will welcome the weekend and the 'Bers on Saturday!
We noticed more leaves on the ground at the lake this weekend & when we look across the lake, some of the tree's leaves are turning yellow! Crazy to think it's that time!
Good luck with your interviews!! xx
