Merry Tuesday!!

Some work for me today, with an afternoon of appointments.

It’s still very humid here, but the strong storms have brought the temperature down.
My family and friends in La Crosse have it much worse though, please keep the community in your thoughts and prayers as they clean up.
Both my sister, and my folks have significant water in their basements. But are okay, most importantly!
It’s especially sad to see all of the animals affected.

Oh no SF, that's terrible. I'm so glad to here that they are all safe and ok, but my heart goes out to them for all that flooding and the aftermath of what they will have to deal with. I just looked at all the rain they got in that period of time. Wow, they got seriously dumped on that's for sure. Our thoughts and prayers will be for your family and all that were effected by the flooding.

Good morning ... 7 am and already 80 degrees, hot and humid. Its so nasty out and is making me wish for those crisp fall mornings. My daughter got her braces off yesterday after having started this process 3 years ago so tonight's dinner will include corn on cob! She can not wait LOL. I hope everyone has a great day and if you are stuck in this ungodly heat wave like me I hope you stay cool.

Merry Pines Day friends!
It’s going to be another hot and humid day. I already straightened up the house and started laundry. I’m just having a cup of coffee before I clean the floors. I will be heading out to the supermarket later to do my mid week food shopping. I also have plans to go to the pet store this afternoon with my youngest. Her and her fiancé have a kitty cat and she wants to pick up one of those tree towers so the kitty can look out the window. I guess that’s it for me. Oh and I need to get a pot of sauce started, dinner will be baked stuffed shells.

Good Morning, Folks!

We are one step closer to Christmas and its glorious Season this morning, just like we are every morning.
Step by step, we march closer and closer until one day........

Let's take a look at our progress:
Days to the Season: 76
Days to Christmas Day: 118

And speaking of steps, there are only 18 remaining until we reach our next Milestone marker, which just happens to be the 100-day Christmas Day Window.
After that is passed, we truly accelerate because BOTH of our counts will then have only two digits, a sure sign the holidays are just around the corner.

The heat and humidity have once again settled in, hopefully for the last time, as we are nearly on the threshold of September.
At least there has been no further rain and dry conditions are predicted to remain well into next week.
Our current reading is 73 degrees. here.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday, and we will see you at the 'Pines this evening for the final pre-'ber open house.
Carl has a "summer close-out" sale going on fired twinkies and merchandise from the 'Pines gift shop. (Got to get things cleared away for fall, you know!)

Good morning MMC! Merry Pines Day! It's another hot one ~ only 84º today though, so just a tad cooler. With a chance of rain this afternoon!
Not much up for today besides work. Jim got the day off - lucky duck! I'm sure he'll have a 7 course meal ready for me when I get home from work...ha ha ha ha!!!

I hope it is comfortable feeling for you now! Steamy one minute and freezing the next has got to be so uncomfortable!

It is very steamy out here right now, but even with no air conditioner or fan on, I'm comfortable in the house. Gotta love a cement block house ~ keeps things rather cool inside as long as I keep the windows closed and the shades down.

I'm sorry you and your mom had a rough Friday night, but very glad you had a wonderful weekend!

Any news from Anne? I pray she is all is well with her!

Good morning M!
It was freezing when I walked in the door again this morning so I bumped up the air! Last night was very comfortable outside. We were on the patio until the mosquito's nearly carried us away!

How nice you have a block home that stays nice 'n cool! Ours is brick & it does pretty well with staying cool in the summer, warm in the winter - but after working UPS all day when it's hot, my hubby likes the house cooler!! We don't go through near the amount of propane in the winter as some do.

Mom had a couple nights in a row of getting up several times, but now Mandy is back is she's been sleeping good again. Go figure! (I'm glad though)

We know Anne is home, but she hasn't shared her prognosis with us. She is planning on staying this weekend! xx Thanks for the prayers - I'm sure she can use them!

Happy Hump Day!
Another scorcher here today with really high humidity. My girls have their first day of school today. I only got a pic of my youngest, my oldest couldn't find her shoes so she was running around trying to find them...lol and so it begins!
My husband is home with vertigo, it started last night and has terrible nausea and dizziness. Hopefully he will feel better today.
Just typical work for me today and I am going to make a taco bake for dinner.

Dinner sounds great! I bet you are starting to have to cut down on your meal sizes? Or do you send "care packages" to the girls?
