It was much too hot for the beach so we will try again tomorrow. Mike has been playing a video game so Carolina and I have been playing and reading. I finished a Junie B Jones book with her and started another one. I have been doing some reading on my nook and my paperback. Tonight we will go to the boardwalk no matter what. Mikes grandma said they would bring Carolina back early so that we can try the frozen drink bar on the boardwalk

Well, Folks. The rental season is over and it's time to travel to the beach cottage to check to see how it fared over the summer.
(We have many long-time repeat renters. They are a good bunch and always take good care of the place.)

What better time to go than over the 3-day Labor Day weekend?
As such, a Countdown volunteer will be needed for two mornings: this coming Sunday and Monday. (I can post for Saturday right before we leave.)
Anyone feel energetic this weekend and would like to take over the count?

I'll do Sunday Crown and if someone wants to take Monday they can...or I will fill in that day too.

I can cover Monday.

I went home for lunch and found that a super large tree limb has broken out of one of my pecan trees. At least 25' long, and 12" in diameter. Now I have to tune up the chainsaw and buy some back rub LOL.

I forgot to mention that yesterday we welcomed another new family member - Logan - 6lbs. 15 oz. to the family!! He is the 17th great (niece or nephew!) to join the clan!!

Hello everyone! Hope your week is going well. I’m off tonight and go back to work tomorrow.

I haven’t heard anymore about the job. The interview went very well and they told me they were quite impressed. Whenever I was leaving, the lady that is in charge of the office whispered to me that she would call this week for a second interview. I’m still hopeful I’ll hear something, but I’m not so sure I will hear anymore. It was in a surgery center and I don’t really have experience with that type of nursing. I was hoping that since I’ve been a nurse going on 14 years and am otherwise very experienced, it would increase my chances. I’m thinking maybe that was that deciding factor.

Anyway, I appreciate all the prayers and nice words from you. I keep telling myself I have a job, make good money, and am happy where I am. I would just really love to see my kids more and be off on the holidays, but am just thankful again I have a job to begin with.

Nothing else is really new here! Hope you all enjoy the evening!
