Christmas Countdown - 2018

[Holiday]

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday!! TGIF!!! Our morning has started out absolutely beautiful...but of course the humidity is supposed to move back in as the day goes on. High in the mid 80's!

I can't believe tomorrow is SeptemBER!!! Wow!!!

We had a nice time on my sisters patio last night. I think we surprised her! She had a few names for us when she walked out of the house...ha ha ha!! She's super excited about their trip to Spain!

Anybody have fun plans for the holiday weekend? We are heading to the lake. Tonight we are having fried bologna sandwiches at the neighbors, (I need to stop at the garden this afternoon & pick tomatoes for our sandwiches!) tomorrow we will watch the BUCKEYES (I can't believe it's time for Buckeye season!!) & then we have a family reunion at my cousins pond, also a hog roast at the marina. We will go to the family party for a bit then come back for the hog roast. I also want to visit my friend in the hospital at some point. Sunday we have no plans except our neighbors said they are bringing pork chops for everyone for supper. And Monday....relax!!

It was fun! Thanks!! Her grandkids are so darn funny! Little Kate (3) kept picking on me. She normally doesn't like anybody but her mom, so it was fun/cute!!

[Holiday]

Hello everyone! Hope your week is going well. I’m off tonight and go back to work tomorrow.

I haven’t heard anymore about the job. The interview went very well and they told me they were quite impressed. Whenever I was leaving, the lady that is in charge of the office whispered to me that she would call this week for a second interview. I’m still hopeful I’ll hear something, but I’m not so sure I will hear anymore. It was in a surgery center and I don’t really have experience with that type of nursing. I was hoping that since I’ve been a nurse going on 14 years and am otherwise very experienced, it would increase my chances. I’m thinking maybe that was that deciding factor.

Anyway, I appreciate all the prayers and nice words from you. I keep telling myself I have a job, make good money, and am happy where I am. I would just really love to see my kids more and be off on the holidays, but am just thankful again I have a job to begin with.

Nothing else is really new here! Hope you all enjoy the evening!

I hope there has just been a delay there & you will still get that call!! xx

I don’t know who decided that 4am on a Friday morning would be a good time to empty the dumpsters in an apartment complex but they should be fired. Lol! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Hard to believe that this little bug is 3 weeks old tomorrow. She has brought me more love and happiness than I thought I would ever have. I’m so proud of my son and his fiancé and I never thought I would be able to say that. I love you Little Miss Ellie! I can/can’t wait to watch you grow and explore your world.

She is adorable!!

We had lots of fun on the boardwalk. We got pizza and did the arcades. Carolina had fun on all the rides. When she left with her great grandparents to come home we went to the $5 frozen drink bar. The drinks come out of a slushie machine so they are either too weak or too strong, so we usually only go once a season. I got Froze', which is frozen Rose'. The bar has beach chairs that you can sit on in the sand. Now we are home and Carolina is sleeping and Mike is playing a video game, so I am drinking a glass of wine and reading a summery book.

Glad to hear that you had a good time!!

Good Friday morning! What a wonderful cool night we had. No air conditioning and windows wide open, just perfect. One last long workday today and then I can relax for two weeks. Have a great day everyone!

Merry Friday Friends!
I’m just having a cup of coffee and I’m working on a menu plan and grocery list for next week. I’m having a get together on Labor Day so I have to figure out a menu plan for that as well. Not too much going on here today. I’m just going to stop st the butcher at some point. My youngest is coming over later and we’re going to have lunch together. Other than that I’ll be working on the laundry. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a wonderful last day of August. I can not believe how fast this month went by!

It was such a nice afternoon yesterday, Nancy and I went for a long walk. I should have spent the afternoon sawing on the broken tree limb in my yard. I bet I won't have another cool evening for a long time. Grrr. That limb.
