Halloween Candy - Sweet Talk

[Festive Spirit]

I am not much of a candy eater but when fall arrives with Halloween in the air, it's like a candy spell has been cast and I find myself indulging in sweet treats for a few weeks. I love seeing Halloween candy in the shops and having a bowl of it in the house even if it's just for display. Along with ghosts, witches and Jack O Lanterns, candy is such a huge part of Halloween!

What are your candy temptations and what was your favourite growing up? Have you ever had a great idea for one and is there any no longer in production that you wish was still around?

Back in my days of Trick r Treating it was Toffee apples,Monkey Nuts,spangles,chewy Whams,Chewy refreshers,space dust...Now today its fun size chocolate bars and bags of crisps

Reeses have grown in popularity here. There was a time you could only get it at special American Candy shops but now all supermarkets carry it.

It's amazing to think how long some of these have been going!! I like that people incorporate savoury snacks into the mix nowadays.

I also love Crunch bars. They remind me of growing up.
I only got them on special occasions back then and I've kept that tradition going now.

Popcorn balls and candied apples were my favorite as a child. Today, I eat ANYTHING chocolate. I will not discriminate against white chocolate, milk chocolate or dark chocolate. I love them all.

I love candy corn and could eat it until I get sick!! Reese's cups are another favorite. One of my daughters is Peeps crazy and has already polished off a few of their ghost packs

I love, love, love Cow tails, Mary Janes & those mini Hershey dark chocolate bars that come in the mixed hershey bar bag. Yummmmmmmmm.........
